Well mine for sure has being modified a lot, no match with all mentioned here, I try post my dashboard picture to see if any of you can help me to know which one do I have, but the forum error appears. For sure is no the base... unless the steering were also changed and no VTC/VDC button. At the plate in the firewall says type: Z33, Color Trim: KYO G and nothing else on the sticker at the door than de VIN, weight and year...
I appreciatte if anyone can help me, I need to buy new healights

So, since you have the VIN, use the VIN decoder to tell you what trim you have. If that's too difficult and you know it's not a base, your car (all cars above Base) uses 8-pin HID headlights.
Hi Guys,
1st post here, as my daughter just bought a 2005 350Z Coupe.
We have entered the VIN # at Nissan, which says it's a base model.
When entered at the Nissan Forum VIN decoder, it says it's a touring.
When entered at Carfax, it says it's a Track.
I don't know if it's proper protocol to show the VIN # here in the forums, or if there are details about the car that would help nail it down? It's a manual transmission. It has aftermarket wheels, 18" all around, and aftermarket brakes. We do have the calipers that came off, but I don't know if they're the originals or not. It has power heated leather seats, a Bose subwoofer, and a button that says "VDC Off" to the left of the steering wheel. The VIN sticker says Trim is "K" No help with ID by steering wheel controls or headlights, they are aftermarket. It's kind of a Frankenstein.
I have read through this thread but I admit, I'm still confused, sorry.
Thanks in advance for any help shedding some light.
Thanks for posting in a relevant topic/thread. Based on the seats alone, I suspect you have a touring model. Assuming the powered seat features actually work that is. You already mentioned the vehicle is a bit of a Frankenstein of parts, which is not uncommon on these cars. But also having the Bose stereo is another good indicator that you have a touring.
If it was a Base Model, you would have cloth seats, no Homelink rear view mirror, no steering wheel controls, no VDC, and no Bose Stereo/speakers. So that rules out a Base Trim.
If it was a Track Model, you would have cloth seats and Brembo brakes. I think you would also have wheel controls and VDC, but no Bose Stereo. Track models also had special forged wheels (rare), but not uncommon for people to swap wheels out.
A touring model should have the upgraded seats, Bose Stereo, wheel controls, Homelink mirror, & VDC. The 05 Touring had the gen-1 18" touring wheels, which I think are 6-Spoke. Only the Anniversary Edition in 2005 got the 5-spoke gen-2 18" touring wheels. The Touring V2s would come standard on Base and Enthusiast trims starting in 2006.
Other Notes:
Brake upgrades are common, but I don't think the standard touring had the Brembos, only the Nismo, Track, and Grand Touring were offered with Brembos.
I use decodethis.com for VINs, I have found it to be pretty detailed and accurate.
Cheers!

Thanks very much for the reply. I agree with you, it seems to have the features that would be expected in a Touring Trim. In any case, we have plenty of work and part hunting to do, and I'm sure I'll be visiting the forum quite often for help and advice.
Reading through this there's not much mention of the 2005 35th anniversary edition. Not surprising. My limited research turned up one suggestion there were supposed to be 1,000 and only sold ~700 made, silver yellow and black, from rare to common. I picked up a yellow one near 2 weeks ago now.
Apart from the carfax stating its anniversary and the wheel size, brembos, rev up, there are the visual tells such as the side emblems circle is brass/gold tint, the 35th lettering stitched on the floor mats, the seat stitching, but the actual wheels themselves are after-market rims. I'd like to get 35th annie rims on again.
I'm looking at a set, but they come off a 2005 Track. Same size, but are they the same rim? The two nissan brochure photos I found compare favorably to the Track rims. $600 seems fair price, carfax says the donor car was never in an accident. However, I don't want to spend money on the wrong rims. Two different sources state the rims are unique to the 35th itself but show no comparison photos.
The wheels that came on the 35th AE are the same that came stock on the 06 and 07-08 (non-Nismo models). They are sometimes called the "Touring V2." They are a staggered setup with 18x8 in the front and 18 x 8.5 in the rear. They look like this:
The "track" wheels are generally referred to as the forged track wheels made by Rays or called the "V1 track" wheels. They are also staggered with 18x8 in the F and 18x8.5 in the rear, but they are lighter. They look like this:
I understand bringing your AE back to stock form, but the V1 track wheels are an upgrade as they are lighter and forged aluminum. $600 is a good price for them assuming they're in good condition.
Wow! Thank you. Thank you.
So, yeah. The set I bought an hour ago are indeed the Annie's swapped onto a Track of all things. The current owner bought the car a year ago. With the tires finally worn, he's putting his previous car's rims on and ditching the Annie's. So that talk in the previous post about which was which was my case of mistaken identities.
Amazing how things find their way around. His car is from my old home, CT and now in Phoenix. My Annie lived it's life around greater L.A. until earlier this year when auctioned to a San Diego dealer and is now back in L.A. donning CT rims from 20yrs ago when I first arrived in town.
These rims with an about-to-be-new E33 paint job just about restores the car. I picked up a number of parts from a junkyard today. Trunk springs $45 new each? I needed at least one and got three for FREE! Battery cover lid, ~$45? Try $8. $14 for a trunk lifter. (I couldn't get a second as the lid was too heavy to hold with no bracing available.) All told ~$60 OTD with various bits and baubs. I may go again in a few months once I know all that's missing on mine. I'll never replace the 35th specifics, so all that is coming off, taken out and stored away safely!
I found these on youtube. The first image is a reputed sales rep quote on the North American numbers.
As to the AE trim code, I looked at three Annie's on BaT and mine, all three colors black, silver, yellow and graphite and Black and Tan interiors are all Trim Code G. This has me paranoid about carfax's reporting skills as listing mine as 35th Ann as opposed to another 05 on carfax which correctly listed as Track. So I don't know what's going on there.
Next three are the same car. We didn't get the funky stuff the Italians did...
