Default Best Time to Buy a 2007 Model?

I'm saving up to hopefully buy a Z (2007) and I was reading around about pricing...

I'd most likely want the Enthusiast.

To my understanding, the best time to buy the 2007 Z is when the 2008 models are out? I'd get it new if I could but if there is a good deal for a used one then I'd obviously take that.

When the 2008 models do come out (which would be the beginning of next year right?), the dealerships WANT to get rid of the 2007's as fast as they can, correct? I read somewhere someone got a nice deal for a 2006 350z when the 2007's came out...he got it for like 25000.00 from what I remember...

Oh, and once the 2008's DO come out, where do you see the pricing of a used 2007 Z?

^ very true. when i bought my Z [a week ago] it was between West Covina and Performance in Duarte. I decided to go to West Convina and they gave me a very good price on my SMB 07 Ent. Though in my opinion between the months of Sept-Nov would be the best times because the 08's should be arriving to the dealerships around these months...

i would go when the skylines are arriving... maybe they'll pay less attention when you're trying to bargain with them

Well I am saving up for it so I don't plan on buying it NOW.

The 2009 Z is supposed to get the 330hp engine right? which is probably out at the end of next year?

I mean waiting for that might even be under strong consideration.

To true, davidv. Should you not be out taking advantage of the nice weather instead of digging up 30 day and older threads on here?

thunderstorms and heavy rain come into play...where? I'm guessing because when the weather is bad, its rare to see a customer for them...just a wild guess.

best time to buy is when the dealership opens first thing in the morning.

I thought it was supposed to shrink when it's cold!

Just bought a brand new 2007 Ent/5 sp auto last week. I got the dealer to throw in the splash guards, floor/trunk mats and kick plates. I paid $300 below invoice.

Only bad thing about waiting is settling for one, instead of getting the one you really want. I've been searching dealer inventories in southern california and everything left are automatic ones, or base models 6mt. Now I'm stuck on waiting possibly for an '08...

Don't get the '08 if it's said that the '09 will possible be the year it gets the new engine...etc.

If you think about it, its a little bit over a year from now till the '09's are out.

Go to WCN and get hooked up.

If you still insist on waiting i hear December 31st is the best date. Dealerships are frantically trying to sell off as many cars as possible because how many cars they sell that year, is what judges how many cars they get the next year.
