If it's a 6MT, go for the '06. It's got the Rev-Up motor.

Well, it's pretty self explanatory really..... the engine has a higher Redline and 300 crank HP I believe. As oppose to the 287 crank HP in the other car you mentioned.

The Z received an engine update in 2006. Go for the '06.
Although, don't those have the oil consumption problems?

correction....the 06 has 6,000 miles. Both are 6mt The 06 seems like a good deal, but that oil consumption problem seems to bother me a lot more than a chance at tire feathering

Yes, a small/moderate percentage of them though.

The tire feathering problem is expensive to repair (new tires, aftermarket suspension) and more intrusive (noisy if you don't repair, etc).

For an addition $2,000 you get a Z that is 2 years newer with 6,000 less miles. Not much to think about.

Go for the 06. That's a no brainer. But get that sucker checked out first for oil consumption.

I thought there was no way to check for it unless you take it into the dealer and have them do the oil consumption test
