Default live in UK, want to buy 350z from private seller in US

hey,

would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on this...

i'm in communication with a guy selling his Z in the US - we're just unsure on how to transfer the title.

i have a friend in the US that could have the title transferred into his name for me, and then I have the car collected by shipping broker and exported, if necessary.

anyone know the best way to do this? ideally, the car would go directly into my name from the seller.

cheers,

Gareth

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a used Z from the UK than importing one from the US...

I ALWAYS get suspect about transactions like this... I have seen way to many people "Burned" by participating in these types of transactions...

The purpose of import laws is to make it cost prohibitive for you to import a vehicle. The laws work well.

I'm moving to Italy, that is why I'm looking for a LHD.

Importing a car into the UK adds about 35% to the cost of the car - you won't find many 350Zs being sold in continental Europe for under US$25k... in fact, you won't find many at all, I don't think many were sold in Europe.

if u want to get an US 350z to take to Italy - ask one of the importing companies. From my experiance I can tell there is allot of hustle with importing a car by yourself. The companies won't charge you too much and you will save time and won't stress too much! I don't know any companies in UK but I know few in Poland and they do great job getting cars from US!

Hello Dear Sir,

My name is William Wallace of the Wallace Clan as you might as well guessed. I recently came upon a sum of 14.765 million dollars on an insurance settlement with the country of Norway. I would love to explain in detail of what the settlement was for but my lawyers have advised me against this. The only problem is that the insurance company needs for me to provide a Nissan 350z with a United States Vin number, as a down payment so that they can open up a legal bank account so that they can deposit the 14.765 million dollars for me. Due to all the bills I have incurred with from the legal proceedings I have no monetary way of purchasing a Nissan 350z with a United States Vin number outright. This is where you can help and reap the rewards of my settlement. If you are kind enough to ship your car to Nigeria, I would then personally transport the car back to Norway to finish off the settlement. With the money deposited I would then gladly wire you $500,000 for you troubles. Please, I am in no rush so think it over although its obvious why you should jump on this opportunity before someone else does.

Thank you and I looked foward to hearing from you soon,

-Sir William Wallace..... of the Wallace Clan.

Looks like the import laws kept you from doing exactly what they are supposed to do.
