Ok, so I'm looking at buying a pretty specific 350z. I had made up my mind on what I wanted a while ago and just recently found one and got a quote.

Its a PPW 2007 350z Touring with 14,700miles. I was quoted at 26,500, got them down to 25,500 but that still seems a little high to me. I figured I would ask other Z owners what they thought.

This price is high. I think roughly 10-15% over real cash value. Tell the dealer
to stick it up his ***. That said, don't fall in love with one car! In order to acheive
the best economy, allow for a range in selection. Never purchase "on the spot"
and take your time. There are tons of vehilces in every dealers inventory, and
MANY great cars being sold by members here everyday. SLOW DOWN and enjoy
the ride.

LOL, to tell you the truth I forgot I was even a member here. I was a member of an old forum, nissanforums.com before they were bought out and think I must have joined here around the same time but never posted since I didnt own a Z. Now that I can afford a Z and looking to buy I stumbles across the site again

Yeah, it seemed to high for me, I wanted something closer to 22,500 but being a dealership they claim "oh we have 25,000 into this car and blah blah blah" As for the falling in love with a particular car I guess I'm not crazy picky, all i know is I want it to be PPW, something above base model, coupe, 6MT and at least a 2007. Thats not crazy right

Box. that seems really high. I just traded in a 06 touring mt with oil consumption problems, and my brother who works for nissan where I traded it in said my car was going for 18k, with 11,000 miles at the auction. I bought an 08 nismo and got it under invoice. Maybe an 08 base leftover with no miles, for a couple extra grand what you were quoted is a better choice. You will get a better finance rate than used, and I am sure dealers are dying to get them off the lot with the 370 coming in, as was the case with me. good luck.

shop around, that's all I can say, and I work at a dealership. When they tell you they have that much into the car it usually means they bought the car too high at auction or on trade and they'll lose money if they do any lower.

I assume KC means Kansas City. There should be seasonal adjustments for 350Z prices. Premium in the Spring. Discount in the Winter.

Want to make an offer for the 350Z when the time is right? Wait untill there is 6 inches of snow on the ground.

^great advice. sounds like you've got the right idea. find out who
is hurting the most, and has a big selection. def worth a trip for the
right price too. you can drive home from anywhere in the US.

Just got a quote from a sales manager. New 2008 Enthusiast for $24k. You could probably bump it down further.

Don't settle for these high prices!

was it over the phone or in person and were you just inquiring. They're all tricks to make you buy from the dealership. They're used to hook you into the dealership.
