Hey everyone.. New here and THANK YOU ALL.. Great site and information. I am looking for a Z.. I was looking at some used 06 models and started reading the issues with oil consumption.. No thanks. I have started looking into what I can get in an 07. I want a ragtop with Bose and a 6 speed.. I am looking at this car but want some opinions. Seems cheap.. I will pay for a car fax is you guys think this is a fair deal.. Its below Kelly Blue. Budget is tax and title out the door for 25K

Black with white interior. Unique combination. Very clean.

Looks great based on the pictures. I don't know that I've ever seen that color combo before. Most black Z's I've seen have black or orange interior.
Definitely worth checking into further.

The price for the roadster is fair but if you went to a Nissan dealership and did some price comparision you can use that to check against your ebay offer. Giving its condition and price i would sign papers from a private offer. Being an 07 it is still covered under factory warranty and everything is self maintenance IE oil, tires and the MOD bug . If you go to a Nissan dealer take your time and test drive a model that suits you. If your gonna mod it later on than you might want to run with a base model or equivalent with a few more options. If you want it all get a NISMO!! j/kk check them all out because your opinion might change later on the day. Goodluck and keep us updated happy holidays

Solo, Thanks for the insight... I do not want to Mod it.. Just drive it.. Have other toys for that.. Being in NJ maybe things are more expensive. The prices here seem to be very high. As long as that is a fair price I may pull the trigger.. This will mean I have 5 cars so I need to check with the boss..

 

Car is priced to sell. Color combo is good, but not great. Frost white does
not hold up well imo. Black or Orange would be better value and wear wise.

That said, I don't think you will find a much better price point. Take the VIN
to a Nissan dealer and run a service history. ANY warranty work will show there.
I have seen a number of seemingly perfect cars with full engine and transmission
replacements at less than 10k miles. I personally think you should stay away if
there was any major work, not bc you will get a "worse" vehicle, but bc of
future resale value. Good pick overall, do more homework and get rid of some
of the other toys... HEH.

 

Good point.. I will stop in to my local dealer and see what they have.. I am hit or miss on the combo also.. It isn't the interior but the top I do not like.. If it had a black top I would be OK.. It seems like a lot of car for the money. Seems like it would be cooler with the top down sitting in the sun for a while..

 

My advice: keep looking. Pull the trigger only when you are 100% confidant /slash/ you don't have to ask anyone if it's a shady deal or not This car looks great, but is it exactly the car you set out to buy?

Every time I see a low mileage '07 for sale, I cringe b/c most of the time the higher trim levels with similar mileage to my '07, cost the same or less than what I owe And I have been making double payments all year. Damn depreciation.

 

Kman is on the money (pun). I think you're in a position to wait until the
miracle cherry deal of the century comes along, and frankly this is not it.

Keep your eye on the bay. The prices will just keep falling. The Z has a certain
degree of elasticity. In order to meet buyers, sellers will continue to lower prices
until demand meets supply.

 

Well all I can say is thanks... Great advise.. Is it the exact car I would have thought to buy.. No.. I looked at insurance today also and the coupe is $250 more.. Not that big of a deal but I have 5 cars and it adds up. I am also looking at the classifieds here as there are also some nice cars from owners.. Thanks much everyone.. This board is a great help!! And you guys know your cars from reading the many forums..
