Considering a 2003 enthusiast edition 350z
Hello,
I am considering purchasing a 350z enthusiast edition. It has 76k miles and is located in NYC. Anyone want to enlighten me on their experience with this car? Reliability history? Fair price range etc? Thanks!
Here are some deets...
2003 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast (Automatic transmission)
Up for sale is a 2003 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast model with 76k miles. The car is in great condition and runs perfectly well with a distinctive growl of any 350Z. The car has a clean history and paint work is still shining except for a few minor bumper scratches which can easily be fixed or polished off. Regular oil changes have been made on the car with one just 3 weeks ago. Air filter has been changed and the car also has a set of new tires. I have also changed the front disc brakes to a cross drilled version for better braking. A set of brake pads have also been installed recently.
Great car and a great drive, pity i have to sell it as i am moving. The car still turns heads and has the power to boot with a very desirable engine sound. I am sure the new owner of this car will be as pleased as i was when i got it.
Priced at $11900!! Great value for its condition!
Shoot me an email if interested and please only serious buyers.
Features of the car include:
BOSE sound system with extra bass speaker
Heated leather seats
Dual power seats
6 CD changer
Cruise control
17 inch wheels

Seems like a good deal assuming it's a Touring. I just bought mine a month ago for 12K even with a few upgrades so the price is definitely reasonable. Would prefer the manual but that's up to you. Good luck.

That sounds like a good deal. I chose the enthusiast over the touring model when I was in the market for my Z for a few reasons. The only added features (read cost) that the touring model had over the enthusiast was the leather and power seats and Bose package. I knew upfront I would replace the seats and stereo. Since it is a 2 seater sport car and I am the only driver, I don't see what the point of a power seat is since I have adjusted mine only once. The enthusiast has cruise control and the same mechanical features, like a TCS system.
In my opinion, when you compare them side by side, I think the cost is not worth the cosmetic upgrades. If you are dead set on leather seats, you may want an enthusiast and have them upholstered and heated yourself. There are tons of aftermarket options from do it your self covers to using an upholstery shop. It will add more of a custom and unique look to your car.
If that car advertised is everything as described, it sounds like a good deal to me though.

Something's not right.
Sounds like a Touring model ... and in addition to that Dave said, the Touring has 18" wheels. Are you sure it has 17" ? If so, he did a switch with the wheels.
Offer: $10,900

Also, were all of the TSBs dealt with? Because it is out of warranty so if they weren't, you'll have to pay for those noramlly covered issues, i.e., the driver seat bolster bad, a nasty tire feathering issue, a window streak on both windows, a bad window motor, etc., etc., etc.

He said he'd go down to 11.5. I might call and offer 11.2 tomorrow
