Smile thinking of buying 03 Touring with 50k miles, IL

Hi everyone

new to the forums, found the site after doing some research on the 350z on the chicagoz club website. I am looking into buying a new car and found this 350z just five minute from where I live.

I would like to know if you guys think that the listed price is good for the year/mileage/and options.

Also what are some things that I should watch out for when test driving this car? From reading on this forum it seems like there is oil consumption and some issue with the rear tires on the 03 models?

thanks in advance,
Sean

Seems like a good price to me? It says "asking price" which likely means you can do better or they expect less. I have an 03 silver touring, and after having it for almost two years I still get excited every time I get into it, even if I know it's just a five minute trip to work. I'm just now getting ready to try my hand at some bolt-ons and new wheels after getting comfortable with her. I mean, absolutely check this listing out, make sure it's not a scam or anything, but that seems a decent deal. Prices are going to be different wherever you go, and I hear they tend to get a bit more popular during these dryer, warmer seasons. There is plenty of aftermarket support for the DE, obviously. The 03s had some tire wear issues that have likely been addressed across the board by now, along with two or three other little things like the motors on the windows. Again, by now these have been addressed by previous owners, but you can search more on that. Other than that, a reliable vehicle that's a lot of fun, IMHO, but ultimately, you're the decider of YOUR honest opinion, right?

"Everything is worth what it's purchaser will pay for it."

Oil consumption was on the 06mt rev-ups, btw.

It would depends on what the actual sell price is,not sure how different the market is up there compared to here in Nashville...there's a 04 for sale here for 12k asking price with 50k or os on it. I know when I bought mine the price was all over the board from dealer to dealer, mine was orignally listed for 17,500 its a 04 with 49k and I paid less than 14k for it. Casr markets on the rebound according to everything I have seen and heard.

Welcome. Dealer asking prices are ridiculous!

^ +1 i agree with david. i know it has leather and nav but for that many miles on an 03 its overpriced. i bought my 03 track model last year with 44k miles on it for $13.8k

It's probably a little late, but Exotic Motors are a bunch of rip off artists. Don't even consider buying a car from them.

Hi guys,

and thanks I actually took everyone's advice and suggestions, did a bit more research and waited. Now I'm a proud owner of a clean 05 350z. And in case you were wondering DaeHan, it's not the one I posted to ask about

Here is some details, the car was originally owned by djnc and I purchased it from the dealer he traded the car in with 27k miles.

djnc did a lot of work on the car, but when I bought the car it was pretty much returned back to stock. This is how it looks like right now,

and this is how it use to be

so far I've just been reading the forums mainly and just enjoy seeing the picture threads to see what kind of setup everyone has. Only thing I've added to the car is I upgraded the tail lights to 06+ led and changed the antenna to rdx. Other upgrades are on the list, not too many as I'm trying to keep it simple and clean.

thanks again,
Sean
