Smile How much should a salvaged 350z cost?

I found a couple 06 350's on craigslist for around $10,000-11,000 with 50-75k miles. But they're all salvaged titles.. My friend said that it is way too much for a salvaged title. How much should I ask? $8,500?

Salvage reason is important. Rule-of-thumb: Salvage is 50% of book for same vehicle.

The most expensive reason for a Z being salvage is the SRS system.
Insurance has to pay dealer prices ...

Well I was thinking of getting this http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/2179772571.html The guy said that he'll go as low as 14500. That kit looks like pure sex. Literally.

That's what the car should go for with a non-salvage title...

Are you aware of the oil-consumption problems with the rev-ups? You could easily be looking at cars that were wrecked & need motors....... you'd be better off buying a clean 03/04 for book value, or if you really do want to buy a rat be the one getting it pre-salvage inspection (ie still in it's 'salvageable' condition)

I got my 05 track edition with 33k for 10000 even. If you get the right one trust me, nobody ever knows till you tell em why you got it for dirt cheap. It really depends on what your paying. Is if fully and completely repaired with no issues (i.e. no check engine, airbag, bad alignment, fully painted, no trim pieces missing. I went into it with the mindset that if I could tell in anyway that it was something that had been repaired then they hadnt done a good enough job and probably had slacked more in other places that I couldnt see. Just be careful, ask lots of questions about what was repaired, who did the repairs (make sure it is a reputable place) how long ago the repairs were done. Mine had been repaired for 2 years and she had put about 15k on it in that time with no real issues and tire wear was low, but even, that helped put me at ease. Anyway, gl. Iv been very happy with mine and my fiance also has a salvage mazda 3 that she bought and had repaired so Im sure you can be very happy with your purchase.
