Salvaged 350
I recently purchased a 350z from a private seller. He advertised it as a clean title that had recently been in a small fender bender that had broken a window and had to have the passenger door repainted and a couple other small things. thinking for the price he was asking it was a heck of a deal, i drove out to meet him, test drive the car, and eventually buy it. at the bank he signed that the car had never been in any severe accident or anything. driving the car back i noticed several things such as the passenger window not working, multiple panels being different color slightly, didnt notice in the lighting before, the radiator bracket was cracked and eventually just broke off. i financed the car through my parents since im not yet 18, and eventually we found that the car had been salvaged. any advice on what to do?

Prepare to be set on fire by board.
So I will say my piece, any title will clearly state the salvage vs clean debate, items not working or broken are your own fault for not inspecting, hell did you even look @ it or drive it? You used your parents money? Well, suck it up to an early life lesson bud....
and if this is troll worthy, then you to also got my advice on a BS thread...lulz

it was financed through them. ive already completely paid it off but i was 2grand shy when i bought the car. everything works and drives fine, i didnt notice the hairline crack in the radiator bracket when i inspected it. i cant do any of the paperwork since im not 18 and therefore my parents did it all. im mostly just pissed that i was told that it was clean and it turns out to be salvaged.

seems like you were a little excited and rushed into this deal.
There are pros and cons for a salvage vehicle. If you purchase the vehicle directly from the auction you will obviously see what the vehicles needs. But there are many reason why a vehicle can go salvage too. I have seen Zs go salvage because they were broken into and little pieces were stolen which can be found here on the forums to replace them. Saw a 08 or so RED Nismo on there with 30k because it had a wet interior.
One thing people undertsand is when the insurance companys take to get a quote from a body shop they will always try to rape the insurance companys because they sometimes have to pay the amount.
it can go both ways.
