Canadian (BC) used car sellers that might buy a US Z?
This is a wild question. I've floated the idea of selling my Z and the estimated value is a pretty big range (https://my350z.com/forum/buying-leas...automatic.html).
Anyone know of a used car chain (i.e. a Canadian version of www.carmax.com) that might be willing to take and give a reasonable price on a US-spec 04 Z?
It seems cars in Canada are a lot more expensive anyway and with the Canadian dollar being a bit stronger than the US dollar, it'd be great if I could get about the same amount of $ from selling to a dealer than I would trying to sell to a private party. I've skimmed info about importing a car into Canada and it seems potentially troublesome and a fair amount of work (e.g. import duties, changes to comply w/Canadian standards, etc.). The speedo and odo might need to be changed to km.
I called 2 Nissan dealers in BC and one told me they wouldn't take it unless I'd done all the import work. The other basically said it'd be a lot of trouble on my part to get all the work done...
I'm willing to drive it up to the Vancouver BC area and take a plane, bus or train back if it I get a decent price and I don't need to jump through hoops.
