Default Whats a fair price?

Update Post #10.
What would a fair offer be on a 2004 350Z Touring? Car is Daytona Blue, 6Spd transmission all stock with 44K on the car. The owner seems to think he can get around 15 to 16K out of it. I am looking to make a reasonable offer on the car. But I know it's not worth 15K.

well for an 04, 44k miles is pretty low.

i'd pay around 12, and maybe 14 at most. 14 if its in pristine condition though.

I am going to go look at it later this week. If it's something I want I figure I'll offer 12 and possibly negotiate up to 13.

there are ways to find out for sure how much the car is worth. just drive down price with every little thing you dont like on it, like scratches, dents, ect.

He's asking Blue Book price. He would have to be a motivated seller to take $4,000 less than. Good luck all the same!

the model year is the biggest determining factor of a cars price BEFORE mileage. There fore he should be able to sell the car quickly due to low miles, but should not expect to get a large amount for it.
Its an 04, MAY have the updated suspension that helped the sever tire wear issue, does NOT ahve an HR engine, does NOT have he CD009 updated transmission.
Its a touring, and thats good, but aside from that, meh. 12k cars can be foudn all day long.

You have nothing to lose by offering him 12, but if he holds out he will probably find someone to pay 14K. Nice model, and nice color....

I got the car. I was able to talk him down to $11,500. Because one of the tires had a huge bubble in it so I have to replace that and he had a bad touch-up paint job done on the right side of the rear bumper.

I'm thinking around 12-13k.....I think you could find an 06 w/miles like that for 15-16k...**** for a couple grand more you could be looking at HR's in the 50k+ mileage range...

Prices change drastically depending on what part of the country your in. I paid about $16k for my 04.5 base, and that wasn't a horrible deal. It also was a Florida car it's whole life, so it never saw snow, and was 100% stock.
