Default 06 350Z GT or 07 350Z Enthusiast

I’m trying to decide between purchasing a ‘06 350Z GT and a ‘07 350Z Enthusiast. Both cars have low mileage. The GT has about 23K and the ‘07 has about 18K. Neither has had any problems and both are in similar overall condition. The ‘06 is $22K and the ‘07 is $23K. Also, the ‘07 is a certified pre-owned from a dealer, with an extended warranty, but the 06 is being offered by a private seller.

The GT, of course, has all the extras (e.g., leather, Bose, heated seats, etc.), but it also has the Brembo breaks and upgraded suspension, right? What other significant PERFORMANCE features does the ‘06 GT offer over the ‘07 Enthusiast, if there are any?

While the Enthusiast doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, it does have the newer engine, which from what I understand is a huge improvement. Is this true?

Thanks!

If it were me, I'd go for the 07. You lose some options, but I know my luck is terrible and I'd end up with an 06 with oil consumption issues.

07 has the HR motor. Drive both of them you will feel the power difference. But if your planning on heavily modding go with the GT as there are more options for FI etc. I drove both and really liked the powerband on the 07 more, but I plan on keeping mine mostly stock anyways.

PS thats kind of high for those imo. I bought an 07 Nismo for 22k. If i were you thats what i'd keep an eye out for. But some people don't like the Nismo, i think its one of the best car every built under $100k.

Thanks for the info!

I don't plan on doing any significant performance mods. However, I will most likely upgrade the audio system on the '07. Is it really worth upgrading? If so, what would you suggest?

Also, what about the breaks, suspension, etc. on the '07 Enthusiast, are the GT's that much better? I'm more interested in everyday driving...

The only Nismo's I've found are around $26K. Too much for me...

Currently, I have an '07 WRX, and with the AWD, and have no problems with winter weather. However, I'm selling it. Eventually, I'm going to be moving back south, but I will be driving the Z for perhaps one winter. I'm curious, how do the 350's perform in mild/moderate winter weather?

Audio systems in the Z's suck ***. If you want to laugh go to the fader and put it 100% to the rear speakers, it makes for a good chuckle.

Nismo's are hard to come by but imo are well worth it. There are a few for sale on the forum right now, might be a little far from where you are. One just went for $19k the other day just wanted to pay off the loan. But that only if your in no rush you can find deals like that.

As for the suspension and brakes the only models that have different ones are the Track Edition and the Nismo I think.

Default Which would you choose?

Which of these two Z's would you choose? One is an Enthusiast and the other a Touring. The CarFax shows that the '08 was in an accident while the '07 is clean. Also, I've heard that some '07's have clutch problems. Are there any problems with the 08's? Thanks!

370Z has about 11 percent MORE horsepower than the 350Z. Take a ride. See if you like it.
