Auto, IMO it is worth half value of what a 6mt car would cost. Offer him $7k to leave yourself money to convert it to 6mt.

If you like the car,buy it.
Life is too short.
Personally, yellow would be the last color I'd pick(unless it was a race car).
But if you like it,go for it.
On the 5AT,if this fits your lifestyle/way you drive, who cares. Its your car.
I've got a 03 Touring 5AT.Its fine for me...my wife drives it.Unless I was planning
to focus on heavy performance-FI,5AT works.
Got to realize that the average forum member is like well under 25 yrs of age.
Us old timers are in the minority. There is no comprimize with the fast&furious guys.
Got to have a 6MT.Its interesting to note the numerous posts about clutches and other
6MT problems &maintenance.I've never had a prob with my AT.
On the price of the car,its supply&demand. In your area, not many for sale. The selection and price is gonna be higher.Thats just the way it is unless you want to go out of your area. That Z would probably go for a bit over 16k in my area.
Good luck!

AT sports cars are for girls and disabled people. My wife has her own car to drive.

Car looks good. Personally I would hold out for one w/o the Nav system and engine mods: artificially inflating value.

LOL. This is not about man being real mans and girls being girls. Plus don't disrespect disable people because one day might be disable like them. I have a lot of friends who all love stick shift cars and they all are persuading me (sometimes demanded) to get a stick and trying to put me down but all I can say to them is, "all i see is you guys need new engines and new clutch and beat the hell out of your vehicle while im enjoying the longetivity of mine".

I for one appreciate and respect your insights but it don't mean I care about people trying to knock off a car that is an automatic. You like your stick shift and I like my auto. Hey, I've seen girls whoop guys *** before and it's just a toy car.

Right on man. I don't want to deal with replacing clutch every now and then. Speeding and racing out in the streets. I just want to enjoy the pleasure of a sports car cruising around and going on trips. Im 27 yrs of age but I'm just not into beating the hell out of a nice car and risk my life away for being out of control. I'm just happy to own a nice car for once. The yellow Z has grown on me a lot now, even though i'd still prefer Blue but it's okay, as long as its not silver lol. Plus it's not like a different color will add 100HP anyways hahahaha.

I'm still researching and going to get the history of the car than I will make a hard decision to purchase this Z or not. Because I have 3 choices of cars. 350z, G35 coupe, or a TL. 350z is awesome to drive and performance wise. G35 coupe is good and TL is just insane luxury. But, I'm a sports person so I'd want to own a sporty car before I get older and than I'll own a luxury one later in life before I die.

They're willing to sell it for $16,000 to me. They are just waiting when I am going to go take a test drive and make sure everything is clear and than give them the money and bring it home. But, I'm kind of having 2nd thoughts of trying to find a cheaper one for $13k-$14k. The thing is, this Z looks very nice so we'll see.

I've got an Anniversary Edition with a 6MT and a RevUp (no oil consumption problem though). The AE with the automatic didn't come with the RevUp so it shouldn't have that potential problem.

I wouldn't buy it either because of the auto (not a big fan of the yellow either).

I'd wait tilll I can find other Z in mint condition for a lot cheaper. IMO $18K is too much to spend on DE Z unless it's super MINT and you can trust the seller with the upgrades. Take your time, you will definitely find one.

Thanks for your inputs. They told me the car is in excellent condition and they are selling to me for $16k not $18k. The upgrades are not much except for the nismo intake and suspension only. Which is not a big deal. Plus the car has a clean history report and score a 90 on the auto check score within the range of 70-83.

The seller seems to be very honest and professional and I'll be going to take a look at the car this week. If it's good I will take it. If not than we go our separate ways.

You asked for advice, people told you to pass, but you already made up your mind to buy it?

Why is this thread here again?
