Default Looking for your input on a possible purchase

Hello, everyone!

I'm looking at a few z's in my area (okc) and wanted to hear your input:

08 base with 49k for $15.9k

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...24978322&Log=0

03 touring with 32k miles for $15.9 (he is firm on the price, but haven't made an offer yet)

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...25749532&Log=0

05 with 55k for $15k obo, not sure which type it is. emailed the owner for more details and pics.

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...25631067&Log=0

These are the closest z's to okc that answer my criteria: around 15-16k, not 2006, lower mileage, and mtx.
From your own experience, what would be considered a good deal on one of these, based on the above?
Out of those three, the 03 looks the cleanest. The owner seems to be a nice guy as well, though i think, he's asking a little over what i'd like to pay. That's why I need your input

Appreciate any comments!

^^^ that. If it's a clean title, buy the '08 and run!

this is a total no brainer, if the 08 is a clean title.

The 03 doesn't seem to be a bad deal depending on condition. I got mine for 13.6 with 62k, however it was also Brickyard with the frost interior, something I was willing to pay more to get. But like the others have said, if you don't mind not having cruise control, LSD, or leather interior, if the 08 has a clean title, BUYBUYBUY.

The 08 is a great deal if everything else on the car looks good&not a salvage.
You can prolly offer less and they'll take it.
Depending on the miles you drive, the 03 with that low mileage looks tempting.
Besides, from what you are saying about the owner&miles, the car has been well cared for.

For an overall better deal and a HR Z,the o8 is a better choice.

If everything with the 08 checks out, that's the best choice

thanks for your input, guys!
haven't had a chance to contact the 08 people yet (on a bus. trip right now).

this popped up in a town close to me: 2004 non-base with 60k and around 14k:
http://www.cooperbmw.com/web/used/Ni...nd-OK/4230575/

carfax and autocheck are both good. thinking about test-driving it. the rear tires do look worn on the right side (the markings are worn out on that side).

found carfax for the 08 base. one-owner, green title, rear axle housing has been replaced at 30k. owner drove till 48k (current mileage). how common are the rear axle problems? read something about the clicking issue.

Well, went to check on the 04 today. http://www.cooperbmw.com/web/used/Ni...ition_id=10426

I really liked the way it drove, the power was awesome (coming from a bolt-on zx2 lmao).

Couple of negative things:

Alignment was way off, it pulled to the right, and didn't seem to respond well at high speeds > 70mph. My mech said that he thought the rear would feel tighter at those speeds. we gave it a good test-drive

Scratches on the paint and some blemishes here and there. One wheel had some nice rash on it.

Some parts in the engine bay were misplaced (some sensor on the intake mani was dangling by the firewall), both serp. belts were worn and will need to be replaced for sure.

The good:

Not a base, though not sure what it is. Has: leather, power and heated seats, vsc, cruise, bose. 60k miles over the last 8 years.

They did budge to 13.5k and said that they'll check the alignment. Was there a definite fix for the wear problem in 03-04's?

I think I can talk them down some more if I bring a blank check with me.
What do you guys think?

Thank you!

p.s. also noticed that at highway speeds, i could hear either the wind or the tweeters from the driver's side window. Also the clutch was really stiff, is that common on these?
