Default Thinking of Buying

Hello,

I'm a potential new buyer of a 2003 350Z Touring. My local dealer has one for around $13k with 60k miles on it. I've never owned a Nissan before, but do like this car. I was going to test drive it tomorrow. Just wanted some thoughts/opinions on if its a good deal or not. What can I expect from this car in terms of maintenance going forward...any known issues etc. Thanks for any help! Here is a link to the car:

Strange, it works for me when its not embedded here:

I'll try again. Either way, it appears to be in good condition. Just looking for some opinions on them in general.

Thanks!

Link not working for me too?
Decent miles for a 03?
Touring is a good choice since it has LSD.
Easy maintenance on these cars.Engines are bullet proof with
common sense care. You may want to check some threads on the 03.
I have one--a Touring.Any problem areas would have long been fixed by previous
owners.Seems like a fair price for your area. However,of course I'd offer lower
like 12k or less .If its a Touring prolly has leather...condition?Paint?Tires?

Good luck--pics?

It has 60k miles on it. Not sure why i can't copy and paste a direct link. If you go to faulknernissan.com its in the pre-owned section. Its the only 350z in there. Im going to see it tomorrow to determine the actual condition from the pics it looks pretty nice though.

link is not working for me as well. But it sounds like a decent deal from dealership. Do they offer any type of extended warranty for the car? Clean car fax?

faulknernissan.com/Used/Nissan/Inventory_Details.cfm?Vin=JN1AZ34D23T110613

Last attempt at trying think link. May have to copy/paste. The carfax is clean, but it does have 4 previous owners...doesnt seem to show any issues.

The link right above this post is working if you copy/paste. Any additional thoughts or things I should look for? Going to check it out after work.

So I went and test drove the car. Its in very nice condition, however, after coming home and doing some research I realized that they are advertising this as a Touring model, but its not. I think its a base. It doesnt have leather or power seats. Im not sure how to tell if it has LSD, but I imagine this should make a big difference when negotiating a price. What are your thoughts?? The VIN is JN1AZ34D23T110613

If you copy/paste the link from 2 posts above, inlcluding the VIN. It will take you to the listing.

Thanks!

Lou

It looks like an enthusiast to me. I'd offer $12k OTD and go up to $12.5k OTD.

Thanks, thats kind of the number I had in mind. I have another dilemma. There is also a 2004 Enthusiast with 45k miles (20k less than the first one i looked at). Its going for 13,500. Its the same color. My only issue is that its a stick shift. Do you think the 20k mile difference is worth sacrificing the joy of the stick shift?

I'd go for the blue one for sure. The gray one with the beat up interior and 65k on it was not a great deal.

Thanks! Picked it up Friday and so far so good. Drives great, really fun car! Already replaced out the head unit with a pioneer in-dash NAV. Now onto other mods....i'm looking forward to learning a lot on this site!
