Default buying a Performance `04

O.K., I have made the decision to buy a new 2004 performance model, Siverstone, in March.
I have read a lot about the problem that a fair amount of people have been having with 2003`s as far as the tire cupping/suspension problems.
Was this fixed or changed for 2004? What changes if any were made to the car for 2004?
Thanks,
R.J.

As far as I know the only " problem " left with the Z in 2004 is the window grease streaks... My brand new 04 has it on only one window. Everything else is said to be fixed and no one has reported any major problems at all on an 04 unless it was an early modle.

As far as visual changes. later modle 04's have knee pads, which I guess are nice IF you are pretty tall. Also for 04 they added an extra power outlet on the passenger side dash, just under the cup holder. Also changed was the DVD door. On non nav equiped cars you press the button and it goes up by itself but does not go into the dash, just kinda sits open. On the cars with nav it opens AND goes into the dash. On 03 models you had to lift the door yourself.

Hope this helped you.

Man, I think you need some sleep. Go back and read what I said.

" NON - nav equiped vehicles."

Its the 2004 that he's talking about. The door stays open on 04 nav-equiped vehicles. The 03 nav door goes into the dash, but not motorized.

I HIGHLY doubt that the feathering problem is fixed on the 04's, and if it is, this car is going to be in my garage very soon. The feathering problem is the only reason i'm staying away from this car right now.

I am HIGHLY positive it is fixed... There was a suspension change sometime in 04 that fixed the problem. Even out of the people with early model 04's have not reported feathering...
