The point is to ask you guys if you think my Z is well worth $10,000.

Here is my craigslist add description:

Oil just changed, as it is every 3000 miles.
Tires have at least 85% tread life left.

The body condition is a 7/10
The interior condition is a 9/10

Stuff:
-Double din Sony touch screen head unit. (Plays Dvd's) and is pre-wired for subwoofers and has aux chord.
-Seibon carbon fiber hood, painted to match with flush locking hood pins.
-H&R lowering springs, professionally installed. No alignment issues
-Nismo v2 front bumper, painted to match however is CRACKING a little near the fender walls.
-HKS REPLICA catback exhaust, with burnt tips (Sounds awesome)
-Voxx Maglia rims (Black) 17's with Falken tires on the front and bridgestones on the back
-Spyder cold air intake
-Blacked out taillights, door handles, emblems, and headlights
-Driver & passenger windows have two layers of 20% tint, windshield and rear windshield have 40%, its DARK
-Scroth 4 point racing harnesses and a harness bar
-Carbon fiber dash pieces

You lost me at 100k mile auto.

Kbb or nada value your car without all the "upgrades". I'd say around 8 would be a better place to start.

I would look around $8K if it was stock. All the mods, I'd offer $7500 at most.

Both of these.

The problem is you have so many "enthusiast" mods on your car, and most who would be interested in your mods, would ALSO be interested in a MANUAL TRANSMISSION.

and to make this problem worse, if/when you do list it on craigslist, you will be getting the 'typical' craigslist puke that is going to low-ball, kick tires, waste your time…

with that being said, list it for $10 and let some 19year old 'low-ball' you to $8k and be done with it…

no matter what you list it at that's gonna be $1000-$2000 to high in any perspective buyer's eyes...

Wisdom here.

Some people only think they are getting a "deal" if they pay less than asking price, even if asking price IS a deal.

A few years ago I took my wifes used Infiniti to Carmax. They offered me 19k for it. I knew from checking their website and lot that they were gonna sell her car for 22-24k. No problem with that, they gotta make a buck. So I put her car up for sale for 20k. I SHOWED people the days old 19k offer from Carmax, and a couple of dipshits tried to offer me 18k. I ended up just selling it to Carmax to avoid dealing with more dipshits.

I can't throw stones because I do it all the time…but when I do list things on craigslist, I intentionally list them way too high…it really does reduce/eliminate people that arent serious...

Mods don't add value.. sorry but it's true. Part it out and sell as stock. I would offer you 8k.

It's auto and 100k. Two bad points. For most the auto is a deal breaker I wouldn't have even came for a test drive.

I'm thinking you need a working driver side window to pass safety as you need the window down to give hand signals (the stop, slow down and turn signals ) otherwise you're selling AS IS which will probably fetch you much less than 8K. I'd expect to sell for 1-2K below my asking price as to give someone the feeling that they're getting a sweet deal once they start haggling.

Sorry to add this but....

Racing harness on an automatic just oozes cheesiness and rice.... I'd put the stock restraints on, you just might get more potential buyers and a lil more respect from those potential buyers.

I've got the stock seatbelts still in the car. Thinking about taking the harnesses out. Do you think anyone would bite on the private classifieds here?

The auto for the Z is not bad. I first test drove the Z in auto and liked it.. I simply couldn't see myself with an automatic after my first car payment lol.

I think if you part it out(ask for cash on top of the trader's stock parts) then you will stand a better chance of reaching your goal. And a stock auto Z would really appeal to a 19 year old girl. Get er straight outta high school!

I suggest using autotrader as well. $60-80 is worth it if/when the car sells. I had a similar situation with my RX8. It was an auto, and had some aftermarket stuff. SUPER low miles on it, but it had a CEL due to the Cats. The car was KBBd at 13k and I sold it for just over 8grand But it wasn't a loss for me since I owed less than that. Just be patient and do the "Run till it Sells" option on Autotrader.

Harsh! ^^^ I didn't want to say he'd have a hard time parting most of that stuff here especially since there are faults with the "good stuff" but you opened the can of worms!

LOL at the auto vs manual thing. If you didnt have so many mods, your car would sell for more because its auto. Anyways, your not getting more than 8k for that 350 though, its severely modded
