Rear of the G35c really ruined it...The Sedan is fine, but the coupe just got raped. But I have to admit, it comes a lot better equiped, but it's still not a Z.

I waited to see them both and now that i have I will be opting for the G35. IMO the G35C offers better value, cheaper operating cost, better warranty, service loaners, cheaper insurance and it is essentially the same car as the Z minus some handling and a bit of speed at the limits of the car, otherwise it will be a drivers duel. Now before you crank open the Napalm, remember, same platform, same running gear same manufacturer, same equipment offered. The G35C edges out the Z for me even though I think strictly as a drivers car the Z is the clear choice.

The G35C arrives in showrooms end of Oct. There are several cars circulating as preview models.

Time out!

The G35C does have heritage like the Z, just not in the US...
the G35C is known as the new Skyline in japan.

The G35 is basically a 4-door Z (same platform and motor).... The G35 we have here in the US is the same as the NON-GT-R skyline in Japan. The new GT-R skyline that will come out in Japan will run on the same platform as the Z and the G35 (aka non-GT-R skyline). Now, whether the new GT-R will come with all-wheel drive is unsure... It will either be a turbo version of the current engine in the new Z and G35 (which leads me to beleive a turbo Z may be in the future) or it will come with a V-8 derived from the Q45 motor (to allow nissan to have a platform form NASCAR)... It is still unsure yet. We will get a G35 coupe, which again will be the same as the NON GT-R 2 door skyline Japan has. When, and if the GT-R makes it's way over to the US, I'm not sure if it will still be called the skyline, or if they will rebadge it as an Infiniti and keep the numerical naming in-tact....

Hey maybe someone has more info!

Default Overpriced?

I was interested in the G35 too, until I found out it had 2 tiny seats in the back, not like the sedan. If the Z deal had blown up, it didn't, andI love the car. I would have bought the G35 Sedan, not the coupe. If I couldn't have my sports car, I wasn't going for the sport coupe route again, like the 330iC, M3, MB, and others I considered. A coupe just doesn't do it for me; 2 seats or 4 real seats. The Infiniti dealer in OKC had a white 4 dr. with leather and the works for $200 more than the Z. Fortunately, the Z was everything I had hoped for and don't need no stinkin' sedan or coupe!

There is nothing at all wrong w/the G35C, its a great looking car, I like the Z better, but that's just my preference, and it does have the same powertrain as my Z, I got a Brickyard, Frost leather and AT. I love the combo. Enjoy your coupe, its a great car, too.
