Default Started the Zaino Z-PC with the Random Orbital, a few ??'s

Just a few questions for your orbital pro's out there.

Man, this stuff is truly amazing, it only took 1 coat, some areas two coats to get the swirls and scratches out, the paint even looks cleaner, and I have not even polished it yet. I am so excited about how well its turning out. Now on to the questions.

1. When you put the Z-PC on and buff it in for a few minutes, when do you know to stop? It seems like I put too much because when I am done buffing after a few minutes, I have to really mist with Z-6 and a DF Towel to get the Z-PC off, its hazy and I need to really buff by hand, Am I doing this right?

If you look at the 3rd pic, it shows where I did the hood on the drivers side.

2. What speed should I start out with? 2, then work my way up to 4-5?

3. After I am done using the Z-PC on the car, do I wash and dry, Z-6, then apply Z-2?

Thanks for any advice and the pics I took were at 830 p.m., pics do not do it justice. I am working on the car all night and will leave the Z-2 sit overnight and polish tomorrow and post pics. I can't wait to use the Z-8 as well. I am assuming I put that one after the Z-2?

Not sure, but looks pretty good so far! What model PC are you using? And what pads are you working with?

You should post these questions over at autopia.org. I ordered the new zaino, but haven't received it yet. My guess on speed is around 4 will work best. I would go straight from the Z-PC to the Z-2. Are you experience any dusting with the product?

Well finished up the Z-PC this afternoon, this stuff is amazing, now onto the Z-2, then I will see what all the hype with the Z-8 is about.

I'll post pics when I can, however raining out.

So what pads are you using? I will also be getting this soon, so I just want to know which ones to order. Looking great BTW, especially with the last picture.

This is where the Zaino nomenclature really is confusing. Actually what you were doing was not a coat....but rather polishing the finish. Z-PC is a "real" polish while the Z2/3/5 "polishes" are actually polymer sealants.

Don't confuse "a coat of polish" with polishing....as with Z-PC you aren't coating anything but rather using abrasive particles to remove scratches.

If you are looking to get all of the swirls out it sounds like you need something a little bit more aggressive than the Z-PC. If you want to go that far (which you might not with 4 coats of Z2 on) I'd recommend the Menzerna Intensive Polish...and then go back over it with the Z-PC.

Car is looking good....have to love that red
