Zaino - The Ultimate Endurance Test
For those that question the lasting power of Zaino, me and my detailer mate subjected it to the ultimate test today
What started out as the idea of a quick swirl remove turned in to a 9 hour nightmare
After painting the whole bonnet due to a stone chip and letting it cure 2 weeks, we decided to give the car a light cut to remove the last remaining 10% of swirls 3 layers of Z5 didnt hide
We first spent a good 30mins taping up the car

We slapped some Farecla G10 on the buffer and went to work. The bonnet came up magic, no imperfections and no scratches even under the 20 neon white lights plastered on the walls and hanging from the ceiling
Have a look at the difference bw G10 and a freshly painted unprotected bonnet after only 2 weeks of driving

Then we moved to the front guard, that had been subjected to at least 6 coats of Zaino. We tried the G10 and it just smeared all over the place. Hmmmm the Zaino's on the paint, that's expected. We then prepsoled the panel, 3 times, G10'd and still the same smearing. Hmmmm the Zaino's still on the paint. We then upped the abbrassive to G6. Hmmmm the Zaino's still on the paint. The **** wouldnt come off. We then went up to G4 and still wouldnt come off. We ended up with G3 and it started coming off......phew
My mate scratching his head......."f$%k Sammy this stuff aint coming off"

So we G3'd the whole car, that didnt even touch the paint, just cut through and removed most of the Zaino. Then we went straight to G6 to swirl remove, and finished up with G10. A 9 hour job in total!!!
We couldnt believe how strong this stuff is. Now that's gotta offer some hefty protection against swirls, tar spots and pollutants. When we finished up, we tried Meg NXT on an old beater, and that came off by hand with G10
Now tommorrow i have to add a couple layers of Z5 and Z2 to seal. The car looks better now though then when i had it Zaino'd, cant wait to see the results after some Z5. There isnt one swirl or scratch in the paint at all. Its perfect, a real work of art in the deepest richest black ive ever seen. Its just mind boggling, its just raw non metallic black in the pics below

ill post some more pics once the Zaino is on

Why was there so many swirls on the freshly painted hood? If Zaino was applied after the hood was painted, then it looks like it actually didnt protect from "swirls" as in your statement. Looks like the Zaino didnt even cover up any of the swirls either? I'm a little cunfused?
That Ferecla stuff looks like it work excellent though..

i didnt put any wax on the bonnet after getting it back from the body shop because i was told to let it cure for 2 weeks
the paint was super soft, that even during washing and chamoising it enduced light scratches, something i had never seen before. So after 2 weeks, 2 washes, birdcrap removal with a microfibre clothe and QD, thats how the bonnet looked
i went two layers Z5 today, and there isnt really much of a change reflection wise, only slickness has improved. I think we got it so good with the Farecla that there isnt much better the paint can get. Ill layer 2 coats Z2-Pro to seal the finish and perhaps get some slight wetness
