Default Old wax spots?

I have an 03 PPW Z, and I just bought it a few weeks ago and when I was cleaning it the first day I noticed that scattered in places you wouldn't normally look on the car that there are spots of what looks sort of like white mortar, but I think it's wax that's been there for atleast months, what should I do to remove the spots goo gone sort of works but some is still there.

A good one-step should remove old wax residue.

Then maybe it's not wax, because I've gone over all of the spots atleast three times and some are still there.

If it indeed isn't old wax, try a bug/tar remover.

If you've only had the car for a few weeks, you may want to strip the old product off and give it the full treatment. You can buy wax removal spray from Griots Garage or use Dawn dish soap. If that doesn't remove it, bug & tar remover, clay bar, or WD40 are probably your next steps.
I've seen pitch from trees that got sort of "powdery" looking over time. It can be a real ***** to remove. Saturate it and hope it loosens-up.
Good Luck,
Bruce

Sounds to me like tree pitch allowed to sit long time before cleaning. Have seen that on my own car when it had to sit outside. Recommend Mother's Cleaning Wax and may try clay bar too. Follow with a Sealer; the haze sounds like it penetrated the very top of the clear coat. Follow with a good wax on top of the sealer.

clay bar may be your best bet... it usually removes contaminants better than a cleaner/wax
