Zaino and UV
I just put Zaino on my car and have a few questions about it's protection. How well does Zaino protect against UV rays? I live in Texas and the UV index is pretty high in the summer. I'm thinking about bringing my car cover to work with me to cover it during the day. If I don't bring the cover how well will the Zaino hold up to the hot sun?
Zaino has UV protection in it. Whereas carnauba starts deteriorating at around 135-150 degrees, Zaino is good for up to 400 degrees. On a dark-colored car, temps can reach upwards of 200 degrees, maybe more, in the summer. Zaino also withstands the high temps on the wheels and makes brake-dust removal easier.
Steno, as usual is correct. Zaino has some good UV protection.
I second the wheel statement as well. Everything I do to the paint, I do to my Rays. They have multiple layers of Zayno as well and the dust comes off much easier.
