Default Bird Turds on my PPW

Hey guys, I keep getting these annoying little Bird Turds on my Z. They aren't like giant white globs of turds from a seagull or anything. They are these little brownish circular types of turds. I really can't figure it out. I don't park underneath a tree or any power lines. Yet everyday when I get out of work I have these weird little Bird Turds all over my Z. When I wash my car they don't come off when you scrub with normal pressure either, it's like I have to pick them off with my finger nail. I guess it could be from some other smaller bird. Obviously not a seagull. Some little type of bird perhaps. I really don't want to have to get a car cover, but if I can't prevent this from happening I will probably have to. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, was there a question there?

Either 1) get a car cover, 2) wash it daily

If you leave bird crap on your paint, it will eat through in short order.

just paint the face of a owl on your hood, that will keep the pigeons away

Coconut laden sparrow, perhaps?

The reason it doesn't come off easily is that it's dried. You have to soak it good to dissolve it some before trying to wash clean. You need to get a couple coats of a good wax/polish on the car to help repel the droppings and make it easier to wash. Come to the Zaino Luke!

I was just wondering if there was anything else I could do that you guys might know of. And it's not pigeons. The turds are too small to be pigeons. hmmmm.....it could be sparrows.

i have the exact same problem, that is why i keep a micro fiber and some quick detailer in my car. I also have a plastic razor to get it off, then qd that spot real quick. I wash my car every 4 or 5 days too.

The National Audubon Society will be able to identify the bird droppings. Just send them some photos.

Default artillary fungus

what you have are the spores of an artillary fungus that is usually found in mulch. after rains usually this fungus shoots out these spores. the longer they sit on your car the harder they are to remove. i have to polish each one individually to remove. i am a car detailer, and it took me many years to figure this little mystery out. there is no easy solution, but do not park near that mulch.

^^^^^I park in the middle very far end of the parking lot....about 20 yards from and type of vegetation, and it is mostly on the side of the car not close to the greenery. I'm going to start throwing a cover on my car.

+1 for keeping a spray bottle of detailer and a few microfiber clothes in the trunk at all times. It would probably help to keep a BB-gun in there too, in case you see any suspect birds.

I always have a spray bottle with water and instant detailer mixed. Of course cotton cloths are a must.

I also have the same problem with Bird crap on my PPW. Here's what I use, and the crap comes off pretty easily. I would recommend spraying it on the same day as the crap:
