Default Combining Zaino and Blackfire

The Zaino website says no, but I don't see why it would hurt. I have several layers of blackfire on my SB, and want to add a layer or two of Zaino Z-5 to eliminate those pesky swirls. Anyone think that this is a bad idea to combine these two?? Thanks.

Without knowing the chemical make-up of blackfire, I can't say what the expected results would be. The concept behind Zaino is to get it to bond to your paint. If it doesn't bond to Blackfire, you're wasting time & money.

If you have swirls, use 3M swirl mark remover with an orbital buffer. That will deep clean your paint (removing the blackfire), and then you can wash with Dawn (to remove the oils deposited by the 3M), then polish with Z-5. After a couple of thin coats of Z-5, you'll notice greatly reduced swirls.

The cloth you use to wipe off the polish has a lot to do with what the finish looks like. Diapers are for baby's butts, t-shirts are for people's torsos. Fluffy 100% cotton towels are what you want for your car.

Just using Zaino on the paint will not rid you of the swirl marks. Like showcars said, go with some 3m swirl mark remover for dark/light colored cars. Then use Zaino, Blackfire, etc on top of that to protect against swirl marks from being created again.

Also, if you're looking for a deeper shine use a carnuba wax like Souveran(any non cleaner wax) over your existing polymer wax.

As stated above, the Zaino won't bond to the BF, negating the benefits of Zaino. Using BF over Zaino doesn't work, if I'm not mistaken, the BF is a "cleaner" wax which means solvents and mild abrasives and would remove the Zaino.

Treat the swirl marks first, with 3M SMR as stated. Then use a polish (like P21S Gloss Enhancing Paint Cleaner) to fill in the swirls. Wipe over with some Z6 to remove the oil so the Zaino will bond. After adding and buffing off another layer of Zaino, it's OK to cover it with a carnauba for a deeper shine. Just remember to remove that wax if you want to stack Zaino above it later.

Default Mixed Zaino, Blackfire and Zymol

I mixed Zaino & Blackfire and Zymol on my last car. The finish was so durable that when I wrecked the car it burst in to flames! The entire thing burned to the ground leaving just a clear shell shaped like my car.

I am thinking of buying the same year and model again so I can just snap the shell on the new car.

After using the 3M SMR you need to wash with Dawn to remove the oils from the 3M so that Zaino will bond to the paint.

I *think* the polish portion has a mild abrasive or solvent, but the AFPP is not... so skip step one and go to two.
