Default Kinda noobish question lol

My Z is pitiful, i have rock chips all over the front bumper, i have a few huge ones on the passenger door, and some on the hood. I have scratches all over also lol. HOW THE HELL DO YOU KEEP YOUR CARS SEMI Scratch/dent/chip Free.

Post up some methods lol maybe we can try to help save some Zs from the paint booth. Please refrain from "dont hit stuff stupid", or things of that nature.

You can use waxes such as TurboWax "swirl remover" to get rid of some of the scratches and swirls that you have.

Altough it won't get rid of rock chips (since paint is already missing), having a good coat of wax will help hide some of those rock chips and help prevent it from getting rusted.

As the other member suggested, you can get a clear bra, but I'm personally not a big fan of it. From a distance you can't really notice it, but from up close I don't like how it looks. I'd rather repaint the bumper once in a while. However, a clear bra will help to prevent rock chips.

but do people actually use this like is it noticable and what not? And also, are there any other ways to prevent chips, or ways to remove them. I have heard touch up paint looks reallllly bad.

Are you talking about a clear bra? If so, plenty of people have it, it helps against smaller rocks and such. It all depends on your installer. If its a good installer, it won't be noticeable from a distance, but from up close you will still be able to tell, and I personally don't like how it looks. Thats just me though.

I'd suggest to stay away from touch up paint. I have yet to see a touch up paint that looks good. You can use it in a couple spots, where its not really noticeable, but use it too much and it will look horrible. I'd just put a good coat of wax. It will make it look less noticeable.

+1 on that touch up paint.. I tried it on my MB due to tooooo many rock chips..
it's not that great..
i'll just repaint my bumpers once in a while or I'll just change it to different one.

#1 Get the bumper/hood/door repainted
#2 Have a clear Bra installed
#3 Have a ding shop remove the little dings
#4 Learn to detail your car
#5 Do #4 on a regular basis.

they are going to clean everything off the paint before they apply the clear bra. You would just be wasting your time and the zaino

here is my take on the whole rock chip thing:

#1 wait until the rock chips on the hood and front bumper / and or the doors/fenders accumulate into a horriblle sight. Or until you have the money for a new spray down

#2 replace front bumper w/ nismo V2 and or bodykit... respray anything else

#3 install CLEARBRA once the new setup is complete

#4 oil change lol.
