Default Tire paint

what kind of paint do you use on your tires before a show? Does it have to be high heat? any tips on applying it?

You dont paint them. You apply tire gel. As for that I use Mequiars High Endurance Gloss (purple stuff).

I like the Meguiars Endurance Gel too. Nice and thick so it won't run or sling off easily.

hmmm. I'm tired of using all kinds of tire dressing and in like 2 days the shine is gone and dirt sticks to it like a fly magnet. I remember reading about somewhere where people would paint their tires black before a car show so that is why I asked. Where can I purchase this gel you guys are talking about?

The problem is that you are using low quality products, get yourself a good tire & wheel cleaner, wash your tires good and apply a tire gel that won't sling and you be amaze.

I just use armorall. I personally dont like the super high gloss look of some of the products. I like a nice satin shine that isn't over welming.

Ive read in previous posts to only use water based tire dressings as they wont damage the tire walls or sling off, but for the life of me I cant find it in any store. Is this something I have to purchase online or something?

Is the Meguiars Endurance Gel a good alternative to a water based dressing?

Thanks in advance!

I use black magic tirewet in the spray bottle.

The main problem is if you miss, which is easy with lowpro tires, you have to wipe it off of your wheel and i'm sure thats damaging to the wheel finish.
