I hit a skunk
does anyone out there know how toget the skunk smell off my Z. There is blood on my chin spoiler so I will need something that is safe for the clearcoat if possible. It looks like I got chunks of meat on the tires. Or will I just be stuck with the smell and if so how long?
Tomato Juice brush it in. The acid will clear the smell. After 5mins rinse to get the acid off your car. Same with tires..... You might have to repeat a couple times. I'm not wishing I'm you right now.
Sorry.....

I just ran mine through a car was that cleaned the undercarriage a few times, then let it air outside. It took about 3 or 4 days to get the smell out (didn't use any tomatoes). And don't put your car in the garage >< that was a mistake =p

haha mythbusters to the rescue! have you guys not seen that episode where they try and remove skunk funk from a person.
There is actually a commercially available product that removes skunk funk the best but here is there solution.
"Vinegar, Baking soda, and dishwashing liquid make the best skunk smell remover. At first it looked like tomato juice was also a winner and was deemed "Plausible", but at the end of the segment, we see that it is scratched off the list of valid cleaners, even though they don't say why, or even point it out. The truth is that tomato juice only overpowers the smell, but it eventually fades and leaves the skunk smell." - Taken directly from the episode.

Yea vinegar will basically kill anything. I use to use that on my puppies peeing on the carpet.
