Zaino rocks. =)

I put two coats on in February - and the shine is still great, even now. The polish just lasts and lasts. Great stuff. =)

/hangs her head in shame before Dr. Bonz because she only has 2 coats

I'm a little disappointed at the results of my personal Zaino longevity test. I bought a new Dodge Durango in January of 2002. I clayed it and put two coats of Z-2 on it, and since then I've only washed it occasionally. This weekend when I washed it (first wash in 2003), I noticed that water still beads up, the shine is still there, but the finish isn't as slick as I remember. I think 16 months is all I'm going to get out of it, so it is time for another coat of Z-2. I guess my results would have been better if I kept the car in the garage.

Occasionally. This was really a worst-case test for Zaino. The car sits outside, it is washed by the rain or by my kids, and the only time I'd use Z-6 on it is when I was demonstrating how to use Z-6 for a customer. After a year I knew that I could stand firmly behind my claims of long-life protection. I may strip it down and put a couple of coats of Z-5 on it to see if that lasts even longer. Check back in a year and a half for results.

So you could just use Z-6 without putting on another coat of Z-2?

BTW just finished another coat of Z-2

If you use Z-6 regularly, it's going to keep the finish slick and protected, so the Z-2 will last even longer. If you don't want to do all of that, just polish your car, and you should be okay for nearly a year. I pushed mine way past that, and it still looks good.

A customer stopped by yeserday and said his black, non-garaged daily driver went about 3 months with no attention, and he said it now needs more Z-2. He's going to switch to Z-5 and see if it lasts longer. I think black cars will deteriorate faster (my truck is light blue).
