Default Cleaning/washing the Z in the winter cold....

Ok, I live near the Chicago land area and the temperature is consistently between 25-45 degreeF and it could even drop lower then that. Anyone know of any good tip to wash our cars while not freeze our asses off? Do you guys take it to the manual car wash center and just spray it down? Anyone tried washing their car in the garage? Any tip would be appreciated...

$35 bucks for everything.

wheels, wash, vaccum, windows, wax, tire shine.
im able to get to anything, if u want, ill do a paint protection instead of the wax. it still gives the car a good shine but protects it really good. its part of our $700 detail package. and ill do it for free. lemme know dude. just PM me

I always try to keep my cars clean. My Z used to be my daily driver. I washed it once a week religiously. Its a good thing there is a self service place not too far away. I remember washing it in freezing temps, the water would freeze when drying off. Now its a garage queen. My daily driver is a 95 Benz C36 AMG.

Use a rinseless product like ONR (Optimum No Rise Wash and Shine) and wash it in the garage with just a bucket. I use the method year around; haven't used a hose in almost 2 years.

I don't wash mine when it's freezing but have done it with temps in the low 40s. A couple of 5 gal buckets of warm water, waterproof boots and glove and you're good to go. Note I said "glove", not gloves. One hand is in the mitt that goes in the warm water/soap, the other gets the glove so it don't get accidently wet

I use rubber gloves so my hands don't get wet as well as warm water. As soon as I'm done I pull it inside shut the door turn the heat on and dry it before it freezes. It sucks, but it's worth it. Sometimes I take it to a touchless wash and spray out the underside and wheel wells to remove road salt.

Not only is it a good product, it is legendary on all online detailing forums. Just use 'ONR' as a search term on the Autopia forums and you will come up more threads than anyone needs to read about it. As for stripping the wax, ONR can even be used as QD if mixed in a specific ratio so no, it doesn't strip any wax. When it comes to overall utility, ONR is the best detailing product I have ever purchased. It changed the very way I detailed cars; not too many products can rightfully claim that.
