Default 303 aero vs. armorall ??

first off, i hated the way the armorall made the interior of my z look (like SH*T). all i wanted to know is; will the 303 cause the streaking on the doors and dash?, does it look like armorall or will it look showcar quality or at least take off the armorall thats on the doors right now? thanks a lot

Just take some car wash (just about a cap full to 1/2 cap) in a bucket of water and dip a cloth in it and rub off the Armor All, this will get the un-wanted high gloss off the panels.

Be generous in your use of 303 AP on the doors, otherwise it can look splochy.

i too was screwed with armorall blotchs on my door panel. Once i get the armorall stain off, i'll try to apply 303 protectant with a damp sponge.

Try it the other way around.. don't spray on the door itself.. put it on the towel and rub it on.. that way you get more uniform coverage.

i used a porous sponge. You spray the 303 on the sponge and push hard onto the door. I used side to side motions to apply it and there were no blotches.

Default Heres a question

is there a easy way to clean the doors. I tried a few things. Of course it splotchy as hell. Being that by the time Im done washing the car on Sat mornings, its so damn hot I dont want to mess with it. This 303 I never heard of before. But it seems as though it does the same thing and needs more work for it to look right. For that matter why not use something else off the shelf? Just work at it more. Is the 303 for tires also? Does it look as good? I am using the clear spray on Armor All for tires. Thanks.

OK, so what's best for shing the tires?

I've been using the Armor-All Extra Shine or something like that (at work so I can't go look). It seems to do a pretty good job.

It doesn't take any more work at all.. its still just a spray on, wipe off kind of stuff. Difference is its not crap, its not oily, its not bad for your car, and will not fume up your windows... all which ArmorAll and other silicon products will do.

You can find 303 Aerospace in retail, its just easier to buy it online. Its not carried by the major stores like Kmart, etc.

The challenge is with our door surfaces.. reality is.. less is better. I've never had problems just using a damp cloth to clean it, and if I want to give it some deeper color.. I use 303 on a towel.. works great.

303 is great on tires. It gives you a nice, satin finish. If you want oil shine, 303 is not your product. Look at some of the tire gels. Different strokes for different folks. But again, 303 is a water based product, without silicons, so it will not brown or bloom your tires like armorall will.

I switch between using my Griots Interior cleaner for general purpose wipedowns.. and use 303 for finishing. I 303 the tires every wash.. the interior I wipe down usually just for dust.. but only over other wash or every 3rd do I need to put a finish on the interior.

I use 303 on my tires every time I wash.. I use it on my leather seats to wipe them down.. and I use it on a towel to wipe my dash and plastics in the car.

A big advantage of 303 is that it has some UV and ozone inhibitors in it that help protect rubber and plastic.

It does not leave a greasy film on surfaces. It feels smooth and no residue on your fingers.

Go to www.303products.com and read up a bit.

Another resource for detailing is www.autopia.org
