Everytime I see a pic of a Brickyard Z it reminds me of how much more I love that color than my Daytona blue. Dont get me wrong, I love the color of my Z, but if they offered the Brickyard in 2004, I wouldnt be pushing the blue

BTW, the editorial won't display for me. Do you have to be a member at frenzy to view it? Also, Dr. Bonz, did you find anything different about the new formulas besides the color and ease of application? Do they shine any better or do they make the paint any slicker?

I think they shine much better! I believe that was the main point of the reformulation, higher reflectivity. They also don't stick so much to the inside of the bottle, so there's less waste.

I agree with Brian. The new Z-2 and Z-5 formulations do seem to shine a bit better. They are more "watery" for lack of a better word. They seem to "cover" better and go on much easier.

Dr Bonz... Thank you, You taught me Much...Today was my first Zaino Experiance....Me and My "Z" and a little Jazz...

1) Wash with Dawn, rinse, then dry, With a 100% cotton towel Made in USA.

2) Claying with a mist of a mixture of water and Z-7 (Lubricant)...Took a short cut, just dunked Clay bar in bucket of Z-7. Not bad at all, was alot easier than I thought.

3) Then another wash and a dry.

4) Then a coat of ZFX, let dry and buff with a clean Towel.

5) Then one more layer of ZFX, and Buffung again, then a mist of Z-6... My Baby Looks GREAT...

Wanted to put another coat of ZFX on but this old body can only take so much... will do more later... I LOVE MY "Z"
It looks realy Hot "RED HOT"

When you said "a coat of ZFX" I assume you meant Z-5 or Z-2 polish with ZFX added to it.

Welcome to the Zaino Family!

Another OLD thread of mine brought back from the dead!

I'm very pleased with the finish!! I used to have people stop me and ask me about the car. The past month or so, people have stopped me to ask me about the finish - remarking on how unbelievable gorgeous it is.

You should try it the other way apply with your random orbital buffer and take off by hand. The orbital buffer will put it on extrmely thin which will allow you too buff it off with alot of detail. Your arm won't get so tired.

The PC is a random orbital buffer which is more like small vibrations rather than the full circular motion of a standard buffer. The beauty of the ROB is that it won't induce swirls.

I've read a lot of stuff on Autopia about the PC and how to use it and the impression I got was that there wasn't a whole lot of benefit to using an ROB when applying and removing products like Zaino. It's forté is with waxes and abrasive polishes.

BTW, I picked one up last week and just received some pads yesterday. My older cars better look out this weekend!!!! Actually, I was planning on going by a junk yard and picking up an old hood or trunk lid to practice on.
