how to get rid of massive chips on front bumper??

Don't bother sanding/repainting this plastic bumper. You will not be satisfied. It is best just to order a new one, take it to a body shop and have them install it. Get three estimates for Labor only. You supply the part(s). Lots of luck.
PS:That is why I spent $80.00 and bought a Nissan custom nose cover. Highway driving will cause that bumper to just get chewed up. After a good five hours or so on the road, you ought to see what has hit that nose cover and is stuck to it!! My advice is to invest in a new bumper and nose cover.

I just had my entire front-end repainted because of all the rock chips. The painter put 3 coats of some "special" clear coat (his words, not mine) on the hood and fenders and in the 3 months since the repaint, I have no chips. My car was chipless for about 3 days when I bought it new.
If I decide to get a 370, I'll probably have him do his "special" clear coat thing on that, too. Personally, I'm not a big fan of clear bras or black ones.

Factory Nissan paint FTL
I love the look of a black Z, freshly detailed. When I went to buy mine, I was originally looking to get a black one. Then I remembered...mostly everyone I knew at the time owned a black car...
...Daytona Blue is not much better. I had my car in the greater SF area for about a year and drove it regularly. I had only one rock chip that damaged the paint. Then, I moved to just West of Sacramento. There are big rigs on the freeway all of the time because they are shipping produce from the farms and my regular commute has me going on a really crappy road. In just four months, my hood is freckled with touch-up paint dots.
don't know if I should repaint or just buy a new one. If the paint doesn't match quite right, it'll drive me bananas. I'm thinking CF hood now...
