after using menzerna products, still having swirls help!!
I have a black 05' 350z. I recently detailed my car with the following products:
1) Sonus Clay Bar
2) Porter Cable 7424 to apply:
A) Menzerna Intensive Polish
B) Menzerna Final Polish
3) Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket
4) P21S Carnauba Wax
I still see a lot of swirls and scratches in the sunlight. In the dark it looks nicer, of course. What should I do? What other products can I get to put into my list that is not too pricey?

its much worst, bad pictures taken pretty late of the day.

menzerna polishs take a while to break down. it could be you were not working the polsih long enough for it to work. it is a deminshing abrashive. witch means that it has to be broken down to work effective. also even if you did break it down right, you may need to hit each panel a couple of times to get rid of all the swirlls. or it could be that the porter cable is not effetive enough to cut threw the swirlls. you may need a rotary. but if i were you i would make sure that the polish is broke down enough and make sure you see it flash to clear, it should be clear when it is broken down right. also try hitting the areas more than once to see if that helps.

i use the DAS foam pads http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ultim...hing-pads.html. i use the orange pad for the IP and the green pad for the Final.
That could be your problem, pads. The clear on the Z is very soft, even a orange pad is sometimes to abrasive. Sounds like you need a finishing pad to get the hazing/ or buffer trials out. Do you have a blue light polishing pad? Maybe use that on a low setting with a finishing polish slowly moving it.

i have never used them pads but that seems like it would do the job. so i would just hit the panels again and see what happens since that is prolly the only pads you have. also make sure to remove the protection before you start the polishing again. do a ipa wipe down so the surface is free of any thing to keep the polish from working the right way.

After looking over the pics again, it just looks to me like you didnt polish enough of the defects out. I cant notice any buffer trials or holograms. Looks like you should invest in a halogen lamp to work with to see if your getting the imperfections out, if you dont already have one.
you could use some black wow to fix that. that is if you have some. you can by over the counter trim restores at auto zone and things. look for mothers or meguares there. also a secert way to get rid of it is to use some peanut butter and rub on it. it will resrtore the black, and pull out the white residue
