Default How the **** do you get over applied wax thats dried on off?

For the love of god I've been scrubbing at this sh*t since sunday. My idiot friend over applied the wax to the rear bumper and let it dry in the heat. How the hell do I get this sh*t off.

I've tried the chemical brothers wash high concentration no effect.

I've tried dawning the f'ing area no effect.

How do I get this crap off while leaving the damn paint in tact?

What the hell?!

Last resort before moving to polish is alcohol as mentioned earlier.

Just go to CVS and pick up a bottle of IPA. You can dilute it with distilled or deionized water. But this usually removes anything on the surface - polishes and waxes.

Ya I know. Like I said I've been trying to get this crap off the bumper since Sunday with very little luck at all.

What kind of wax is it? I can't imagine any wax being that difficult to remove. Why don't you post a picture of the "damage"?

Any surface that you "Dawn" needs to be polished then re-waxed. Dish soap is not made for cars.

What kind of wax was applied?

Usually, the quick detailer spray that is compatible with that wax will also work to remove it when dried like that.
