Once you use Zaino, you will not want to use anything else! I might suggest you go to: www.Zaino.com and do some reading. Also, go to detailing and find "posts" by Dr Bonz. How often? If you become a "Zainoholic", often! I think Dr Bonz is up to 52? Might be 54, weather permitting. As for me, don't know if I will ever catch up....

it will last months and months, 4months and the water will still bead. however it does stack, so you can do it every week and be fine. its up to you. I tend to wax once a month or every other, depends how dirty the car gets, how often it rains, and how much time I have.

You CAN use Zaino and carnauba wax together. Some who have darker colored cars think that adding a layer of P21S on the top enhances the depth and shine. However, the Zaino is very durable.

ONE OUNCE of Zaino is enough to cover TWO Suburbans. You don't need to order a lot. Just the Z1 (or ZFX) and Z2 is sufficient to get you started; you'll probably want the Z6 also though.

thats the first Ive EVER heard anyone say to use caranuba wax with it. as far as I know caranuba wax breaks down over time and becomes cloudy. and with the zaino stacking over it, you couldnt remove it...

anyway the starter kit has everything you could want. more than you need, but everything you could want...

makes it simple but if moneys a problem you can get by with z1 and z2 or z5, Id reccomend the clay IMO. and if you want you can get ZFX instead of Z1. thats why it gets confusing cause so much can be substituted, the kit makes it simple.

The S2000 community (among others) tends to like the carnauba/Zaino combo. I'm not defending the practice, I'm just saying it's done a lot. I mean the results do come off quite nicely on the dark cars...

(don't want to clutter the 350Z forum w/ pics of S2000s - so I linked it.)

The problem with using wax over Zaino is that you have to wash with Dawn to remove the wax to put a coat of Zaino on or it won't bond. Zaino is 99% optically clear, wax is around 70% optically clear. The Z-6, one of their best products, becomes worthless, as it is meant to use on Zaino, not wax.

It is all up to the individual, personally I prefer the look of Zaino better than wax.
