Default Still on the Fence

I'm still on the fence about putting a clear bra on my car. My major issue is waxing the car. If I wax my car regularly will the end up being a noticeable difference between the sections that are covered by the clear bra and the sections that get waxed?

DO IT, before you get that first ding and wished you had put it on.

I wax right over the clear bra, it should have clearcoat on it, and after a year you cannot tell the difference, unless I point it out many peple don't even know it is there.

Just make sure you get someone that knows what they are doing.

just use a wax that doesn't leave white build up and your concern is gone

Will there be a difference in the depth and brilliance of the waxed paint compared to the paint that is under the clear bra?

No, as long as you keep the car waxed and taken care off it will look perfect and virtually invisible.

You can see my car in my sig and here is a close up. Don't hesitate, do it. Mine has been on for 15 months and I would do it again.

Just got my new Z and am thinking about getting the clear bra. Should I Zaino it first before the bra is installed? Also, how much of the front end should be covered with the urethane bra? Just the bumper or up onto the hood and fenders too?

Don't waste your time waxing before install,, if the guy knows what he is doing he will clean it off anyway for proper adhesion.

Some people only get the bumper where it is basically invisible if done right, some don;t like it on the hood because of the line/edge but you will get nicks if you don't.

Ok, I'm in for the clear bra. Figure I'll do the bumper, hood, lights and mirrors.

Anyone know a good installer in the San Diego? I'd really like to drive the car off the dealer's lot and straight to the clear bra installer before I get a nick.

Back in 2000, I was taking my Eclipse in to finish the due bill when a rock flew up and took a quarter size chunk of paint out of my hood. I'm already paranoid about the Z and don't really want a repeat performance.
