someone did have it.

noticed that it negativly impacted the beading of his wax... either its leaving a residue or stripping the wax. that was enough for me to stay away.

Sounded too good to be true anyways... and when somethin sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

I have it.... I have only used it once. The water just sat on the car in a giant sheet of water. No beads or anything, and did not come off the car. Just sat there...

To bad I don't think you can return the thing..

While I will stick with hand washing with my Zaino wash and drying by hand as I do not want to wait around for it to dry on its own as I usually in a hurry and want to use my Z-6 right after I wash the car, the unit is 18.84 at Advance Auto Parts. The filter that is good for 10 washes (it says on the package) is 5 bucks at Walmart. What some are doing is not using the Mr. Clean wash and just using the unit as a purified water final rinse.

5.00 off coupon here for the unit: http://www.homemadesimple.com/mrclea...y/coupon.shtml

I tried it. It didn't work at all. There are now really hard to remove spots all over the car.

Thanks Mr. Clean!

you guys must have not used it correctly, I used it and followed the directions to the tee, No WATER SPOTS at all. It dried perfectly.. I was pretty impressed.. Although I didn't wax after the wash, I wonder if the wax will apply properly, since it has a negative response with wax??? UMM??

I live in Florida and the water in my area is full of minerals. I would like to try it just for the filter system it has. As far as waxing the car, I'll stick to the old way.

I just bought it and gave it a try. It worked very well. I followed the instructions and the water just disappears, no spots at all. I felt for a film on it, and nothing.

going to go back out and use Crystal Gaurd now. I didn't the first time, cause I wanted to see how well it works.

Drag your towel over the dried area.....then wipe a small area with regular car wash soap and water and dry it. HUGE difference in the slickness.......the Mr. Clean does NOT leave the surface slick like regular car wash soap.

Imagine the difference when you then cover the surface with a sealant or wax.....Do you really think the rough surface is going to shine like a properly prepared surface?

Well, I went back over it with the Crystal Gaurd. It stuck just like normal. I didn't notice any difference.

Oh, and yes, the water does not bead up with just the AutoDry stuff. But, then again, I think that's the point.

Now, when I rinsed the car after the Crystal Gaurd, The water beaded, as it should. Even though I rinsed through the Mr. Clean filter I didn't want to see what would happen if I didn't wipe it down. So, I wiped it down, I probably would have gotten spots if I didn't from the looks of it.

So, my conclusion is... If all you are going to do is a quick wash, AutoDry works pretty good. If you are going to use Crystal Gaurd you might as well just use regular soap and water.

I am out of Zaino, so I didn't get the chance to see if applying Zaino on top of the AutoDry polymer works. If it does, then I think my combo will be Mr. Clean, then Zaino.

I'm using it. It cost about a buck a wash but it's a time saver and convenient. I used it on my red Cougar first, which spots really easily, and I'm impressed. Follow the directions, use the filtered water as if you are painting the car. "No problemo".

I'll stick with Zaino Z-7.

I don't mind drying my car.

Although, thanks for the reviews.
