Default Awesome product!

GT:20 Concourse Carnauba paste wax!

I was in the process of doing a nice paint detail using Mother's step 1 (pre-wax cleaner), 2 (sealer glaze), and was going to get to step 3 (100% carnuba wax) like I've done plenty before using their powerball with my cordless drill to apply which always does a great job; I know many of you guys are into Meguiar products which are great, but I've been into Mothers products since I bought the Z in '07.

This 3 step process usually goes over about 2 days after a good wash, but as I was getting close to the final step 3 wax, I got a call from the custom shop nearby that has done some work on my car since I've lived here and the owner told me to stop by (he's going to install my flywheel/clutch kit soon) and get some "killer" wax that a client/friend of his that owns ****** Garage in SLC, Ut. had given several cans; now off market, but worth a lot of $ per can.

I applied this product today; it basically soaks into the paint and is a very professional product that you can (supposed to leave on 2 hrs. min.) leave on the paint for hours if you want before buffing off excess; it goes on very easily in a fine coat; wipes off like it's not even there. This is the real deal guys; looks like brand new paint. I looked online at some Jorgens GT:20; looks like basically the same as this and it's approx. $70 per small can. I'll get some pics of areas of car after I wipe it off with microfiber cloth; letting it sit overnight first. What little I've buffed off so far this stuff is incredible! This product is much different than most of us have ever used. Anyway it was a nice gift and now I realize what I would use for a car show, etc.

* after a full car coverage; did'nt use much at all:

No, I just barely had picked the can up and coated my car, took some pics of it as I too am just learning of this and similar products. I think the Jorgen product is the same thing, as the instructions I read online on their site were almost the same word for word as on mine. I just wanted to share this info. with any of you because seriously this is a whole different class of detailing your vehicles and protecting them well. Also, this stuff doesn't just make your paint surface look clean and "shiny", it totally brings out the color at the same time, supposed to be most noticeable on darker colors.

I got this one as a freebee and may see if I can grab another from him for some $, but I'll tell you that I would also be completely fine paying $70 for a can now that I know. This is a good link that you can read some details about this:

What brand/type of "sealer glaze" did you use? Was it a combination polish and sealant? As a longtime Blackfire user, I've wondered how any carnauba wax could penetrate a high-quality sealant and the color coat paint layer itself.

^ I used Mothers sealer glaze after doing the entire car with their pre-wax paste; an hour after applying the gt:20 wax I wiped off the area around my rear license plate and was amazed at the rich color. *in the 2 links above it gives some detail about this; not sure if they recommend doing any "pre" steps when using this gt:20, probably just a good clean car then apply; I'm going to do one or two more coats in the coming days just to really check it out and have the car looking it's best for the coming months.

*Just wanted to add that even though the cans aren't big, it's obvious to me that you can get "many" full car coatings with one can! It will be interesting if some others besides me give their experiences with this after using it themselves; may just have something very fine here.

Yeah, I guess just the one I have according to what the guy told me they had to pull it because he said they may have had an epa issue or something. Sorry if that sounded confusing.

Would be nice to be able to afford to have that guy detail your car/s at least once per year.

A couple of quick shots after wiping the new stuff off; in shade of carport, but maybe ok, it is like a mirror and this is a great product. Too lazy to get it out in the sun, but you can get the idea. *sorry for all of the psychedelic reflections, but hey, I'm from the 70's

+1 everyone around here thinks I am a little 'nutty' but I only spend 6 hrs fully detailing my Sequoia. I consider that quick!

+1 on the Blackfire! Works really well!

Your car looks great op, do you use a polishing machine as well to help detail your car?

Thanks ^! I used a Mothers applicator powerball with a cordless drill like I usually do, but used it to pre polish then sealer glaze. Just hand wiped on this new gt:20 stuff with a hand applicator, let it sit a few hrs. and the very thin coating wiped off easily with a microfiber towl, just buffed by had a bit. I've got a good power buffer that has several velcro on/off disc applicators/buffers, but it can leave some swirl marks if I'm not careful, so I usually do it by hand or with the help of the sponge powerball.
