Default Question about 3M Imperial Glaze and Wax?

Hi, I was wondering if it's ok to layer carnuba wax (like meguar's gold class) over 3M imperial hand glaze.

Thanks

Yes, should be fine. The gold class is a bit of a cleaner wax so it might stip off some of the glaze, a pure wax or polish with no cleaners would probably be that much better.

BTW, Meguiars Gold Class is not a carnauba wax, Meguiars advertises it as a polymer, the bottle of it I have says nothing about containing carnauba wax..........

I assumed it was a carnuaba based wax because it separates on the shelf. I sprayed myself with oil (or whatever it separates into) just the other day because I'm so used to using Zaino.

Either way, the third stage of the Mother's polishes should be better for you to use to layer over your glaze.

Yes my bad, I was thinking about some other meg's wax #3 in the 3 step finishing kit wich says its carnuba wax on the bottle.
Does any one know if 3M's wax (not carnuba too) is any good?

Thanks
Ricardo

I use different grits of 3M rubbing compound and they all work exceptionally well. Waxing, aside from Zaino, I prefer to stick to Meguiar's. I figure since 3M's core business is not automotive care products, that a more niche company might be better. I don't have any empirical evidence but it makes a little sense to me. Good luck.
