Eagle One's Nanowax TEST!
well later tonite i will be doing a full over on my dads 2002 E430. the process will take some time, and this will be my first time using Eagle One's Nanowax. i bought the Nanowax over the NXT simply because i couldnt find the NXT wax to buy it. i have some usages left of the NXT but will save it for my overhaul on my Z when i get i back from nissan.
1> Wash Car w/Meguairs Soap
2> Clay Bar enitire car
3> Re-Wash Car w/ Meguairs Soap
4> Apply and Remove Megauirs Cleaner Wax
5> Apply and Remove Megauirs Polish
6> Apply and Remove Eagle One's Nanowax
Wait 1 Day:
7> Reapply another Coat of Eagle One's Nanowax. '
Finished.
when im done i hope i can be able to say that Eagle One's is at least as good as NXT. i will post pics when im done.

And.... the Nano stuff is a polish with fine abrasives mixed into a cleaner with silicone oils, it will remove the coat of Meguairs Cleaner Wax AND the coating of Meguiars Polish.
I think you have too many products there, I would FIRST polish the paint with the Meguiars Polish right after the second washing and then apply the Nano wax. I have tested the Nano stuff as I got a free bottle and it has a very, very short paint life as the silicone used in it and all of the eable products is not durable from rains and washings, dont expect it to stay good looking for very long after a rain shower or wash job..........

You certainly have a very, very unusal choice of products that you are using there, first off the Meguiars cleaner wax is usually a last coat type of product and I have never heard of anyone applying the Meguiars Polish AFTER the wax, doing so will completely remove the previous layer of Meguairs Cleaner Wax.

You can do what you want to do, but the course of action is always to polish first and then to wax, that is just bascially detailing and I have been doing it for 23 years.
The Meguiars Cleaner wax and the Nano wax are both cleaner waxes, 95% of all waxes are cleaner waxes, the only exceptions are boutique products like PS21, Zaino polishes, and Mothers makes one wax with no cleaners and a few others....

well i went ahead and did it. when i bought the Meguiar's kit
STEP 1: was the cleaner wax
STEP 2: was the polish
STEP 3: was the carnuba wax.
so maybe you could explain to me why Meguiars would put a label on the bottle saying which step it wax if you are suppose to apply the polish last? they say the polish should be 2nd and the carnuba wax 3rd.

1. STEP 1 - Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
2. STEP 2 – Deep Crystal Polish
3. STEP 3 - Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax
The cleaner wax I thought you was referring to was this product:
Hey, just to clarify guys:
Meguiar's Cleaner wax is an all-in-one cleaner and wax. One step, for mild oxidation and swirl removal. The three step system that Kevin is refering to is the deep crystal system. Three products, $4.99 each.
1. Cleaner only! No wax, no polish. The following is quoted directly from Meguiar's:
Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
This amazing, nonabrasive cleaner safely removes contaminants, light oxidation, light scratches and swirls to restore damaged and dull finishes. This easy to use formula uses advanced technology to prepare all paint finishes for polishing and waxing.
2. Polish only
Deep Crystal Polish
This product is not a wax. It is a pure polish that conditions and nourishes the paint and is the secret to creating an awesome, deep, wet-look shine.
3. Pure carnuba wax to protect!!!
Deep Crystal System Carnauba Wax
This is the ideal product to protect the dazzling finish you created in Step 2. This formula delivers tough, long-lasting Carnauba wax protection on all paints.
Here's the 411 on the cleaner wax:
Cleaner/Wax
When it comes to raves, no other car wax in history has received such enthusiastic endorsements. Meguiar's Cleaner Wax is America's best selling cleaner wax as well as America's best selling liquid wax. In one step, this legendary product cleans, polishes and protects the paint finish and creates a dazzling, durable finish. And as part of our 100th anniversary year celebration, Meguiar's Cleaner Wax paste will now become available in an easy-open, easy-close plastic jar.
Hope this clarifies things.
To Losing Grip:
This would be my recomendation for how to redo your Z or your Dad's Benz
1. Wash car with Dawn dish washing detergent. It is very alkaline and will strip all the old wax and residue off your car. Please don't stop here because your paint will have no protection on it.
2. Clay bar the car with the bar of your choice.
3. Wash car again, either dawn or your car wash soap of choice.
4. Wax as the final step with NXT or the wax of your choice, or start the three step meguiar's system above. Always ending with a "wax" toe lock in the protection.
5. Continue to wash your newly waxed car with car wash soap, not the dawn detergent until you want to wax it all over again.
Just my way of doing it.

Losing Grip: You seem to still be confusing Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner with Cleaner Wax. This is why you've been getting questioned on your order of steps. If you take a look at the bottle, you will see that the Deep Crystal Step 1 is Paint Cleaner, and does not make reference to being a wax anywhere on the bottle. Cleaner wax, as detailed by Poop_Shoe is a completely different product: an all-in-one wax that includes cleaning & polishing agents.
I recommend learning the clarification, or you may end up wasting a lot of detailing time using products that remove the work you just did in a prior step.
Not to be rude, but when you repeatedly misquote names like Cleaner Wax instead of Paint Cleaner, it reminds me of dealing with someone who doesn't really know what they're doing, but tries to BS their way through by knowing some of the terms.
In any case, best of luck keeping all your cars detailed and looking great, and from what I've heard NanoWax has very little durability.

I just bought a bottle of NANO WAX. Free mail in rebate! Cant beat that! Also comes with foam applicater and microfiber towel. It has a candy like smell. It looks thinner then other waxes. Only time will tell if its durable.
