Default Clear Bra??

This is my first time in this forum. I thnk I know what the clear bra is, but I'd rather make sure I understand what it is, for sure. So, what is the clear bra? Where can I purchase one & what type of maintenance does it take to keep it doing it's job. Pros & Cons??

It is a clear film that is applied like tint. There are a few manufacturers like 3M and llumar. The kit is pre-cut, and is normally professionally installed. You have to find a seller in your area, or you can purchase the kit online and look for an installer. Not much required maintenance, just wash and wax like normal

I got one installed just after I purchased my Z. IMHO well worth the money. It is really not noticeable and provides good protection against rock chips. From what I hear the Z paint chips pretty easy.

Attached is a picture I received from a form member that gives an idea what the clear bar looks like - look closely just above the headlight.

I have been hearing something about this, for several months, but haven't heard of anybody that actually had this installed. I can definitely use the protect, too. I just put my Z in the bodyshop to have a few repairs to a front fender, due to a mechanic's accident where he bumped into an exhaust system that fell on the car. While in there, I'm having the front bumper & other fender repainted due to tons of pings. This clear bra will come in handy to protect that new paint. Thanks to all of you guys for the info.

I just had the 3M material installed by an outfit called Dynashield in the Atlanta area. My car was only two days old at the time, and had no imperfections on the front end. Dynashield completely covered the front bumper, edge to edge, wrapping around the corners into the wheel wells. It is completely invisible. Hopefully, it will provide many years of protection. Not cheap though, around $480. They spent 5 hours installing it.

A skilled installer is important. These guys do installations on lots of high end cars like the Ferrari, Aston Martin and Porshe.

you can definitely remove the bumper. the bra does not go over where the bumper meets the hood or fenders.
