Default What to use to clean the windshield?

I parked too close to the damn sprinklers at work and got waterspots all over the front end, and the windshield. I rubbed with Armor All Auto Glass Cleaner, but still see hard water spots. I thought about using a weak solution of CLR, but am waiting to try that on my Accord, first. I also have Zaino Glass Polish, which has mild abrasives, haven't used it before, but it says don't use on coated glass. Anybody know if the windshield is coated glass? I figure probably not, any coating on the windshield would come off easily anyway. Any other windshield cleaning products that will take off these deposits? Thanks.

I found this kit through CMA. You can use it with the PC or the glass polish by hand. The polish is Autoglym Glass Polish. I have to say the best glass cleaner I've come across is EF Clear vision. That stuff is great! I bought it from Top of the Line.

Try a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. Use crumpled newspaper to wash and dry.
or
Try the Zaino polish (your glass isn't coated).
or
Rub the glass with 0000 steel wool then clean as usual. ** Make sure you don't get any wool residuals on the car....blow them off

You're not supposed to use windshield wipers with RainX otherwise you'll streak that stuff all over. At least last I remembered, the stuff said not to use your wipers if you use it. I may be wrong, but I remember putting that on my car years ago and it just streaked the crap out of the windshield. Made cleaning it off horrible, too.

Thanks, I tried Windex and lots of rubbing but that didn't do much good.

Then I mixed a 4-1 solution of water-CLR (Calcium Lime Rust remover) in a clean glass jar, put some on a paper towel, and tried the small side window first. Worked great, tried the windshield. Spots came right off, rinsed with wet paper towel, then more window cleaner. Windshield is back to crystal clear. If you use this, just be careful to keep it off the paint.

hmmm I didnt see that on the bottle of rain X, and I actually also got a bottle of windsheild washer additive, that like adds a coat of rainx everytime you wash your windsheilds.

never notice streaking.

Z6 is a gloss enhancer, but they do sell a glass cleaner. I didnt get it so I have no idea how it does.

Actually it is a polish, not a cleaner, Zaino doesn't sell glass cleaner, but they do have a cleaner/polish for plastic. I will try this, maybe next weekend, on my 93 Accord. Didn't want to try it on the Z since the glass is so new, the polish is mildy abrasive.

eh polish wax cleaner, I use these words interchangably if no ones noticed and they do make a glass polish and it isnt a plastic polish or whatever. actually the description says it is a cleaner and polisher

Z-12 CLEAR-VIEW GLASS POLISH

Finally, a glass cleaner and polish that really works. We have yet to find a stain that it did not remove. Formulated with modified cleaners and mild abrasives, that deep cleans and polishes all glass surfaces. Removes acid rain, water spots, road film, stubborn stains, annoying interior glass film and fine to medium scratches. This product will remove plasticizing (the hazy film that attaches to the inside of the windshield on all late model vehicles) in one application. Leaves glass crystal clear and sparkling. You will think the glass disappeared. Will not scratch or distort glass. Great for restoring old windshields. Can also be used to clean chrome and metal surfaces. For hand or machine use. Not for use on Coated Glass, painted or plastic surfaces.
