And on and on.

Kinda pointless arguments though. Run what you brung.

There are a few things that factory performance has over the aftermarket. Like smoothness and reliability.

A modified Civic will never drive like a vette. And a modified vette will never drive like a Ferrari.

Aftermarket power and suspension mods get the job done, but they tend to be a bit more RAW or rough.

True, Its just brand loyalty and affiliation. Personal preference based on looks, performace, good past experiences, reliability, what your friends drive, etc. you know how that stuff works. Its not that I wouldnt ever buy a domestic, but I can only afford to have one or two cars right now... so at the moment I choose the imports.

Never say never, there are many guys with the TT kits whose cars drive wonderfully and reliably with built engines and are pushing the 600 whp range. I myself am in the 320-350 whp range and my car drives as good or better than it did off the lot w/o so much as ever burning oil between changes every 3k or having any more vibration.

Your argument sucks.

The Z28 was built for more continuous years than the Z car.

I love it when Z owners have some sort of superiority complex that they drive a "Z"......hello.....wake the **** up.....you aren't driving a Ferrari....OR a Vette for that matter.
Your argument sucks worse..

Nissan never stopped selling the Z.. they stopped importing it to the states, same as all Japanese sports cars at the time. Z32 production ended in 1999 but they were still sold until the Z33 arrived in 02.

Also the Nissan/Datsun Fairlady roadster started in 1961 and was built continous until 1999. Thats 38 years... and still is in production of course.

The Camaro/Z28 started in 1967 and was built until 2002, thats 35 years.. GM KILLED the F-body because it was a dinosaur that people didn't want anymore.. not even in its own country of origin.

I know my Z is no Ferrari, but it is a LIVING classic.

How about scanning and posting several of your recent time slips. Thanks.

A Z28 walked me in my 05 6MT a few weeks back at Atco. He ran 13.46 vs my 14.12 but only got to the line first by .26

Respected the hell out of him too. Watchin another car pull on me like that just gets my blood pumping and reminds me that I gotta do more...

edit: I actually just read pages 2 and 3 of this thread... Why are you all such a bunch of jerkoffs? Seriously, why did this turn into some big pissing contest over domestics vs. imports? Whats next abortion/pro-life, auto vs. manual, brown vs. board of Ed.

Come one people, shut the fu(k up...

Its a rare breed of Dingle Dog found only in the depths of Nicaragua. Its incredibly hard to spot as its nocturnal, and invisable.

It doesnt over ride the fact that you are a douche

I love when people have no real response or rebuttal so the attack a typographical error.

Would you like to tell me more about how a late model car is a classic?

How in hell do you end production in 1999 and still sell them in 02.

Answer: YOU DON'T.....and you are an idiot. If you mean they still had leftover since no one wanted to buy them then I understand!

Nissan killed the Z car, for however a short period of time.....get over it.

If you are trying to attack the heritage of the Camaro/Firebird......you are a TOTAL moron.

And further more.....see below.

should be a good run from a roll and stop

the 4v has a tone better topend than the 2v

if he can drive, he will hang form a stop, if he is a normal owner he will probably run like a 14.3-6 even though the car can do high 13s

if he asks for advice on mods...

midpipe and catback (not flowmatsres!) and gears

4.10s - 4.30s will wake up that car and is exactly what it needs, i would do that first

He's pretty deep into the Mustangs. He's on his third, his last one went 11.19 @ Atco, he's pretty well breifed on the way of the Pony car.

I think Ill get him at the end, my R/Ts can be killer. Would wouldnt beleive that looking at my slips lately, but Ive been more concerned with the 60ft lately. If I slip the clutch I can get closer the 2.0 mark, but when I get that killer type RT Im usually in the 2.2 district...

Sure blame it on the keyboard

I guess you never heard of the term "Instant Classic" I guess not with a 95 Muctang.
