1.8 60' on all season tires, no powerbraking, in a car that freakin heavy, with 20" wheels????

Does that seem a little out of the ordinary to anyone else? There must be some SERIOUS prep work on the track there.

There are more than a few ways to "cheat" a bone stock car. I'm just curious as to how he's that much faster than the other guys out there. Sweet times either way.
I thought he said it was around 40 degrees outside that can help a little.

i raced a bone stock one heads up at the track and i walked him every run. he was consistantly running 13.5's which i thought were absolutely horrible for that car. anyway i believe the car is capable of that time witha good driver its just that most older people buy those SRT-8's and most older people are too slow to shift.

i wonder how well those drivetrains hold up.....probably not much room to mod without strengthening them up a bit.

My brother has a magnum r/t with the regular Hemi in it. It is not a bad car. Doesn't handle that well but has loads of torque (390 I think). If anyone cares, there are rumors that dodge is going to start building the challenger as a two door, 6 speed rear wheel drive coupe. I am just glad that an american car company is building V-8, rear wheel drive cars again. I love my Z but I also love american muscle.

I saw one at a dealership and looked at the tires.

245 series Eagle F1 crappy tires.

1.8 60', YEAH RIGHT!!! Those are the same tires that came on my Trans Am stock. But, I've got 16" wheels and weigh considerably less.

There's no way those tires will pull a 1.8 60'.

The rear tires are 255/45 ZR20.

Like it or not the fact is he pulled those times. There were plenty of people there that saw the runs and the tires were stock. Even stupid mags are pulling 4.8 0-60 with these cars. They hook up.

Fact is the guy has ran the car a lot to get it down to this time. Atco is a fast track and the weater was perfect...what more can one say?
1/4 TANK OF GAS
STUFF IN THE CAR AND TRUNK
ELEVATION OF ATCO IS 100 Ft.
THE WATER TEMP WAS 160. COOLED DOWN FOR 1 HOUR.

That's the times they lay down her in California. I have seen at least 3 run in that range. The SRT 8 version with stock tires that is.

With a .90g skidpad and 67mph slalom, I don't think so. Come to think of it, those numbers look an awful lot like what the 350Z puts down, hmmmm.

they don't run quite that fast in southern cali, the fastest stock, (and it wasn't that bone stock with cai and esp mod) ran 13.04@ 107.80 mph. i saw the car and the slip at fontana this past sunday, he pulled a 1.9 60' on those 245 series Eagle F1 crappy tires as silverta2002 said
the elevation on this track is 1200ft and you always race against the wind, now, i would imagine those times are possible with 40 degress outside, at 100 ft track elevation, engine cooled out, etc, etc, i don't really see why not.....
