The 22mph gain doesnt' really reflect top end, it reflects gearing. He must be in the sweet spot of fourth gear when crossing the finsih line.
A better indication of good top end is the last 1/8mile ET. Looks like he's doing it in 4.8-4.9 sec, which is slightly slow for a high 13sec car IMHO.
