1/4 mile Times?
I was at Morroso West Palm Beach, Fl last week for midnight madness. I ran a 14.01 at 99.6 mph in a stock auto on 19s( I'm not to sure of the mph I have to get the slip, but the Et is correct) . Wanted to know what has everyone else ran in there Zs stock at the track..

Very hard to guage your cars ability's in the 1/4 against others online. The reason is the altitude of the strips being run at.Alberto has a strip below sea level I believe he stated in another thread.Better way to compare is against other auto 350Z's in your area with comparable drivers. The one thing I always try to post with my times are the density alt. readins at the time.So don't be afraid you have a slow 350Z when comparing it online if you look you'll find more running your times than 13.6 stock.

I tried everything. Maybe the pop charger will make up a second or so. J/k. My local track is here in Palmdale, ca. High altitude I think. Maybe I will go today and give it another shot. Will try to post my results soon.

Other than that, I see stock Z's run 14.5 to 15.2 on LACR on hot days. People tell me the Z's can reach the low 14's on colder days, but I haven't had a chance to visit LACR on a cold day yet.

you wont be able to brake torque to 3000rpms on a stock torque coverter. our true stall on the 5AT z's is 1800rpms. with slippage you can get it as high as 2200-2300rpms, maybe a little more. but slippage does nothing for you anyway so dont let it fool you. anything past 1800 rpms on the stock torque converter is just added heat build up. have your stock converter box gutted, rebuilt and get your true stall raised to 3200 rpms. the easiest .5 tenths off your 1/4 mile run and not bad for a cost of around 1k. (.6 tenths in my case).
my best stock was a 14.197 at 98.4x mph. track temps where over 100 degrees at the time.

I launch at about 2300k. That puts me at 1.9's in 60'. Providing i don't spin.
I ran a 13.39 then put on a plenum, pop charger and 3.5 rear end and haven't been able to break 13.4 since. I think i need some ECU management. I have the UTEC ordered.
