Default Eh, new best no big deal

My previous was 13.494 @ 101.89

New

60' - 1.959
1/8 - 8.691
MPH - 80.66
1/4 - 13.468
MPH - 102.09

I still have more launch left, but I'm at the point where a stall might be in order. My goal IS to hit 12's without tranny mods so I'm guessing UTEC and headers are all I have left. Pretty decent numbers for a 5AT, but I'm going to hit 13.3's at least before doing any more mods - just need the right conditions.

hey Dom, what tires do you have and what pressure do you keep them at the track?

I ran a best of 13.9 on my 18" nismo + 275 KDWs but I have now much better traction with toyo t1r, I just can't seem to get a better 60ft than 2.17, which was when I ran that 13.9. I'm stock with jwt intake only.

i had an auto G35 before this car, i just wanted a nice clean "pimp" car, hehehe

they take off very nicely but that 4th gear sucks, it is very very long and useless, probably why your trap speed is low for that et

great times though !!!

Awesome, congrtas man-great for an auto. Do headers/Bored TB/Tune and you'll be set BTW ditch the HF cats and get test-pipes, will help bring your trap up....

sorry I forgot to say congrats.. heard about Dom (I think it's you) running at the track from my friend Julia, she has a red Z and I usually go to the track with her. That one time she saw you at the track, I wasn't here but I'll be there next time hopefully.

Looking forward to running into you at the track. If I can find some used radials, I'll be set.. I want to see what the best my car can run stock (well, just with intake) on radials before i do anything to it.

I don't see a time slip.

Excellent 60 foot time and ET. I’m curious how you run better that 13.50 seconds, but trap speed is less than 103.0 mph? Weather conditions?

David being a track guru you should know with a solid mid 1.9 60ft and a great 8.6 1/8 he doesnt need tons of trap to run sub 13.5's....the car is still pulling almost 23mph in the last 1/8 for an auto thats great-considering it doesnt pull very hard mph wise the first 1/8 compared to 6MT bolt-ons (82-84mph)

Good work.

Before you know it, quite a few bolt on Z's will be in the 12's.

I'm going back with slicks soon.

Haha, they are test pipes...they're gutted. I'm running crappy *** Sumitomo HTRZII street tires, they suck big ***. And David, I've been running 13.4's for a while...a link to my other slip http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/6...meslips0mv.jpg ...

I don't think I'll benefit too much from DR's, if I can get a high 1.8 I'll be happy, but when I hook its too low in the RPM band sometimes and it feels sluggish. Its not exactly bogging, but not getting out of the hole fast enough.

Nice Do you take your spare/jack out when you run? Do you run with almost no gas in the tank? NA Id run with my DTE guage reading "---" try that save a few lbs...also put like 45psi in the fronts fo rless rolling resistance, I want to see you go faster

I was actually running them at 23psi....I've had these tires down to 15 before (I was pretty mad, they wouldn't hook in Oct. So I kept lowering and lowering them). I can't give you much advice on launch technique in a 6MT...berto?

Haha actually I ususally run no spare/ trunk mat/jack/tools...but I kept the mats in and I had a few extra lbs from some junk from work in my car. I also usually go in with less than a 1/4 but I didn't plan on going to the track so I arrived at 1/2 tank (lot of extra weight)...so if I go and do it right I can do better as my car stands now. 45 psi in the fronts is something I took care of my first couple track days with the Z but I forgot about it recently. I didn't go full prepped and that's my fault.

45 psi front
20 psi back
Take out all unnecessary weight out
Arrive on fumes (possibly a gallon of 103 to make sure I get full advance)
Stall it out as high as possible (only like 200-300rpms left)

On a side note when I get my TB bored I'm not going to touch the opening right? The added turbulence of the air hitting the edge of the stock plenum would be no good. I almost wanna get the intake side of the plenum opened up a little to match a wider opening on the TB....
