Default Wtf?

I went to the track today and beat my best time by .06 of a second... 13.81@100.xx

I FINALLY pulled of my first 1.9 60' but I bogged down.

My previous best was 13.87@102.xx and my 60' was 2.1... WTF? Is my car getting slower or did my bog hurt me that much?

What was the density altitude on this night compared to when you ran your previous best????

weather can easily drop your trap speed by 1-3mph depending on how different the DA is from a previous strip outing.

Also..the lower your 60..The lower your trap speed will be.

Could go on and on about strip outing variences but Ill let your brothers take over. im sure you'll respect there opinions more than mine.

The temperature may have been 10 or so degrees cooler, it was a relatively cool night.

Well, the first 13.8 I ran was with just the Pop Charger, my highest trap with that was 102.95. I have test pipes now and my highest trap with the test pipes are 101.25 but the car definitely feels faster than before and everyone who's rode in it definitely notice a difference.

Hell, all of my 2.0 60's are 14.0 with pretty bad bogs and all my other 13.x runs are 2.1 60's except for this one. Hell, I even pulled a 14.2 last night with a HORRIBLE mis-shift to 3rd.

Alberto, I powershifted a few runs and still the same results. I normally powershift around 6.4-6.5k

Bad headwind? Dirty pop-charger? Full tank of gas compared to way less before? Think of anything that could have made you slower. Id just run again and double check...

Hmm, I think the wind was about 8-10MPH but I can't remember which direction. I know it was coming southward which I think the track runs southward too.

I'll try cleaning the Pop Charger because it does have some debris in it and maybe changing the spark plugs since I read your thought about it on another thread. I'm almost at 60K so I'm sure they need to be replaced.

Agree. Humidity and temperature are also significant factors effecting ET.
