Sorry I only know what street tires/slicks are...
Also, how much whp and tq?
I agree, I'm not the fastest shifter in the world but I shall practice some more.
ET Streets are "cheater slicks" but I also get 1.7's on Drag Radials.

I run 15" ET Streets or 15" DR's depending on the event.

Until yesterday I was at 445 whp and 395 tq, I'm picking up my car from Brainstorm tomorrow from a retune and hopefully will be at 500whp

Botomline is practise and traction, you already improved dramatically so you know you're on the right track.

I miss Irwindale haven't been there since December...

I usually run 7.75 at Irwindale trapping around 92 to 94 mph 60' between 1.66 and 1.75 on ET Streets though.
Damn man-you need to take your own advice on shifting practice<----not being a d!ck man, just want to see you run better times. Your launches are good, and your 1/8 trap is awesome, but your 1/8 E.T. needs work. I am hitting 7.70 1/8's with only 88-90 traps and mid to high 1.7 60ft's....btw whats your best 1/4 time?

And when you gonna run with that nice water/alc injection you have now?

Never said I'm perfect. I'm still learning as well. Big difference between you and me is that I do not powershift.

Best ET is only 12.100 because the only 1/4 tracks out here are above 2200 feet (that's not counting air density than it goes up to 4400). Irwindale is only 1/8th mile and the only track in southern cali that's close to sea level.
You won't see too hot result from out here
Very frustrating

Ahh that elevation sucks. Still impressive traps given the conditions. Didnt mean to put you down, just pointin out you have room for improvement given the #'s you posted, and you dont need to powershift to do it

tell me about it, anywhere else I would have hit 11's a long time ago.
I'm getting the racelogic traction control installed as we speak that has the full throttle shift feature that should improve shifting tremendously wihtout putting more strain on the tranny from powershifting.
I'll post as soon as I get a hang of it

meaning that the second he puts his foot down he's getting all 330 rwhp and 3xx rwt to the ground..

Your car is gonna take a little longer to make the power cas there no replacement for displacement ( although a propery done turbo can come really close)

Im sure that if you had a roll race with him and built up your rpm's before the third beep so that you were already in your boost before hitting it that it would be a close race with you winning deciseivly after about 100 mph..

personaly Id be happy that your atleaste trapping higher than him by quite a bit.. AND remember most turbo set ups shine on the last 1/8..Not the first 1/8

There have really been stock camaros that have ran 12.9 at 109 mph. Defiently no were near the norm..But for all you know his could be one of these freakish ones?????
If he had a two step and drag radials he would wear that ls1 out.The two step would allow him to build a good amount of boost on the line. There is replacement for displacement it is call good turbo and driver. We have a little motor in our mustang and there is no stock displacement LS1 that can hang. We have a 03 cobra motor in a 99 cobra it is only 281ci . We are now building a 350z with twins on it.

Btw good improvements on your times. The car just needs to be a little quicker. The two step would really help you get into the deep 7's.
